A hand-held power tool has a lower mass and an upper mass. The lower mass has a tool and a working device for causing the tool to effect a work movement. The upper mass is movable relative to the lower mass and has a drive motor for the working device. A first vibration decoupling device is arranged between the lower mass and the upper mass for decoupling the upper mass from the lower mass in terms of vibration. A guide drawbar guides is provided for guiding the work tool by an operator. An electrical energy storage provides electrical energy for starting the drive motor. A drawbar carrier is carried by the upper mass and is connected to the upper mass via a second vibration decoupling device. The guide drawbar is attached to the drawbar carrier, and the energy storage is carried by the drawbar carrier.

An excitation current-limited power generator includes a digital interface configured to be coupled to an engine control unit (ECU), a regulator coupled configured to be coupled to an excitation current input of an alternator, the excitation current controlling current generated by the alternator, a frequency sensor configured to measuring rotation speed of the alternator, and memory storing a communicated limit received by the digital interface and a first permanent limit, the regulator configured to limit the excitation current to the lesser of the first permanent limit and the communicated limit.

An alternator is described that is configured to provide a current for powering one or more loads. The alternator includes an output port configured to output the current for powering the one or more loads, and one or more current sensors configured to measure a current level of at least a portion of the current being output via the output port to the one or more loads. The alternator further includes one or more communication ports configured to transmit information based on the current level measured by the one or more current sensors.

A drive device for a pair of welding tongs having a pair of limbs, is arranged between the adjusting ends of the limbs, located opposite to the welding electrodes, for adjusting between a welding position and a standby position. In order to reduce its length, provide continuous control and monitoring, simplify the device and reduce noise, the drive device is provided with an electric motor-driven screw-thread drive with a rotating nut and a rotating spindle which is axially displaceable between an extended and a return position, the spindle being connected to an adjusting end of the limb. The drive device can be used as a main drive for a pair of welding tongs for the positioning of the limbs, or can be used as a secondary drive, for setting of a stopping position of the pair of welding tongs.
