A steering column for a motor vehicle having a steering shaft mounted in a steering column tube so as to be rotatable about a longitudinal axis and a damping device. The damping device has an element which is stationary in relation to the steering column tube and a rotatable element which is coupled in terms of rotation to the steering shaft. The rotatable element is rotatable relative to the stationary element about an axis of rotation. A damping fluid is arranged between the rotatable and the stationary element. The steering column thus permits operationally reliable damping of the steering shaft in a steering system. At least two surfaces of the rotatable element are provided, which are parallel to the axis of rotation, are in contact with the damping fluid, and are arranged so as to be spaced apart coaxially from one another.

Steering column for a motor vehicle

A steering column for a motor vehicle comprising a steering shaft that is mounted rotatably in a steering shaft bearing unit and a rotation limitation device that is configured to limit rotation of the steering shaft. The rotation limitation device may have a slotted guide carrier that is fastened to one end of the steering shaft and a spiral slotted guide track. A sliding block may be guided movably in the slotted guide track. The sliding block may be fastened to a lever that is held tiltably on the steering shaft bearing unit and that has a counterstop that can be brought into operative engagement with a stop component that is fastened to the steering shaft, for limiting rotation of the steering shaft.

Steering column for a motor vehicle with rotation limitation

A feedback actuator for a steering device of a motor vehicle may include a casing unit that has an outer casing that can be attached to a motor vehicle and an inner casing received therein such that the inner casing is telescopically adjustable in a longitudinal direction, a steering spindle mounted in the inner casing such that the steering spindle is rotatable about a longitudinal axis, and an electric motor of a drive unit arranged in an interior space of the casing unit. The electric motor may have a stator that is fixed on the outer casing and a rotor that can be driven rotationally. A rotor shaft may be coaxial with respect to the longitudinal axis and coupled via a gear mechanism to the steering spindle.

Feedback actuator for a steering device of a motor vehicle

A steering column for a motor vehicle, including a casing unit, in which a steering spindle is mounted so as to be rotatable about a longitudinal axis (L) running in the longitudinal direction, and which has at least one inner casing telescopically adjustable in the longitudinal direction in an outer casing tube, comprising a roller guide having at least one bearing support, which is radially supported and movable on the inner casing, and in which at least one roller is mounted so as to be rotatable about a roller axis which is transverse to the longitudinal axis (L).

A printed circuit board may include a top side, a bottom side, and a circumferential surface that connects the top side to the bottom side. The circumferential surface may have a toothing for forming a gear wheel. The toothing may be circumferentially closed and may be arranged over an entire surface area of the circumferential surface. The toothing may be configured as an involute toothing, an epicycloid toothing, a hypocycloid toothing, or a lantern gear toothing. The printed circuit board may be formed of fiber-reinforced plastic. Further, the printed circuit board may include a track, a surface structure, and/or a conductor track configured for inductive sampling, capacitive sampling, optical sampling, and/or acoustic sampling.

A steering column includes an outer jacket that is adjustably secured to a carrier unit and clamped to a telescopically adjustable inner jacket. The outer jacket has a tubular body with a clamping slot extending longitudinally. Opposing side plates disposed alongside the clamping slot extend longitudinally. The side plates are connected to the tubular body and each have a longitudinally-extending elongated hole spaced apart from the tubular body in an outer region that protrudes from the tubular body. A clamping bolt extends through the elongated holes and an opening of the carrier unit. The clamping bolt applies a clamping force to load the side plates. An inner region of each side plate is fixed to the tubular body. A support element is connected to each side plate between the elongated hole and the inner region and is connected to the tubular body in an edge region of the clamping slot.

A steering system for motor vehicles, including a steering actuator which acts on the steered wheels, is electronically controlled based on a steering request and acts on the steered wheels via a steering gear, and an actuator device which transmits reactions to a steering shaft connected to the steering wheel. The steer-by-wire steering system has a holding brake which can be activated electrically and has two positions; a holding position and an open position. The holding brake is configured to block rotation of the steering shaft in the holding position when a predefined rotational angle of the steering shaft is exceeded, and to release rotation of the steering shaft in the open position.

A steering column for a motor vehicle has an actuating unit that encloses a steering shaft that is rotatable about a rotation axis and which by way of the rear end region thereof that faces the rear of the vehicle is disposed so as to, by means of a first motorized drive, be vertically pivotable by way of an articulated pivot lever on a holding unit which is fastened to the vehicle chassis. The cost-effective attachment of the front end region of the steering column is improved in that the actuating unit in the front end region that faces the front of the vehicle is provided with an elastic bracket element which is fixedly connectable to the vehicle chassis and on account of an elastic deformation permits vertical pivoting as well as axial displacement of the actuating unit.

A steering column for a steer-by-wire steering system include a steering shaft that is connectable to a steering wheel and is received in an inner steering column tube such that the steering shaft is rotatable about a longitudinal axis. An outer steering column tube may receive the inner tube such that the inner tube can be displaced along the longitudinal axis. The outer tube may be connectable to a vehicle chassis. The steering column may also include a feedback actuator having an electric motor that drives the steering shaft via a drive component that is connected to the steering shaft for the transmission of torque. The drive component may have a recess with a maximum inscribed diameter that is greater than an external diameter of the inner tube, and the recess may be disposed on a side of the drive component that faces the inner tube.

A steering column for a motor vehicle includes a steering shaft rotatably mounted in a steering column housing about a longitudinal axis, and a rotation limiter. The rotation limiter has a stop disk which is connected to the steering shaft to transmit torque. The stop disk includes at least one recess extending in the circumferential direction, such that the steering shaft is coupled to a lifting mechanism, with a stop pin, which is mounted displaceably in the direction of the longitudinal axis and non-displaceably in the circumferential direction and engages with the recess depending on the rotational angle of the steering shaft such that, when the permitted rotational angle of the steering shaft is reached, the stop pin strikes against a boundary of the recess, the boundary lying in the circumferential direction, and prevents further rotation in the same direction of rotation.

Steering column for motor vehicles

A steering column for a motor vehicle includes a steering shaft, mounted rotatably about a longitudinal axis in a steering column housing, and a rotation limiter, and has a smooth and quiet construction of the rotation limiter. The rotation limiter includes two oppositely directed flat spiral springs, which are operatively arranged between a coupling part, disposed in a rotationally secure manner on the steering shaft, and the steering column housing.

A motor vehicle steering system with steer-by-wire functionality may include an upper steering shaft that is mounted in a steering column and can be connected to a steering wheel in a rotationally fixed manner, a lower steering shaft that is connected to a steering gear for pivoting at least one steerable wheel, a manual torque adjuster that is connected to the upper steering shaft, an actuating drive that is connected to the lower steering shaft, and a coupling that in a closed state couples the steering wheel and the steering gear in a rotationally fixed manner. The actuating drive may be disposed on the steering column.

Vehicle steering system with steer-by-wire system and mechanical fallback system

A steering column arrangement for a motor vehicle may include a guide part for rotatably mounting a steering shaft about a longitudinal axis, a guide box that is mountable on the motor vehicle and in which the guide part is arranged displaceably along the longitudinal axis, and a clamping system that is for locking the guide part in the guide box and that is switchable between a locked state where the guide part is secured relative to the guide box and a released state where the guide part is displaceable relative to the guide box in a direction of the longitudinal axis, and first and second contact surfaces disposed between the guide box and the guide part. In the released state the first contact surface is in first frictional contact with a surface of the guide part that opposes a displacement of the guide part along the longitudinal axis relative to the guide box. In the locked state the second contact surface is in second frictional contact with a surface of the guide part wherein a frictional force designed as a holding force acts between the guide box and the guide part.
