An elongated display assembly for removably inserting and simultaneously displaying a plurality of separate flexible and generally flat items to be displayed comprises an elongated open display housing having a flat back panel with an upper front flange and a lower front flange extending along the length and an upper channel and a lower channel extending along the length between the flat back panel, upper front flange and the lower front flange. The channels are for receiving upper and lower respective edges of items to be displayed. The back panel has an elongated score or notch extending along its length capable of separating the panel into an upper frame member and a lower frame member. The front of the display housing is open for removably securing a plurality of separate display items from the front.

An eye shield comprises an elongated, flexible, spring-like frame member generally bowed along its length and biased toward an unsprung condition in which the ends are spaced apart a distance less than the width of a user's head, and a transparent, flexible eye covering member having a pair of first and second orifices for being removably secured on the frame member.

An apparatus for receiving and locking a hypodermic needle hub inserted therein includes a container with a cavity and a top cover with ports. A hypodermic needle cannula and hub may be inserted into each port. Each port has a dimension smaller than the largest cross-sectional dimension of a respective hub. Hub engaging and locking components are secured adjacent the top cover for engaging each hub inserted into a port.

A device for compacting hollow aluminum or plastic containers comprising a base having a concave arc-shaped surface having a first radius, an arm having a convex arc-shaped surface having a second radius, substantially equal to or smaller than the first radius, and a hinge for hingedly securing a first end of the arm adjacent to a first end of the base whereby the arm is pivotally movable on the hinge relative to the base between a closed position in which the convex surface is received and nested in the radius of the concave surface recess and the concave and convex surfaces are substantially parallel along their respective arcs.

This relates to a compactor for crushing aluminum containers of the type, for example, which contain soft drinks and certain alcoholic beverages. The empty container is placed between a first stationary plate and a second crushing plate. The crushing plate is coupled into a guide assembly and to a handle assembly. Lowering the handle assembly causes the crushing plate to be lowered, guided by the guide assembly, thus crushing the interposed aluminum container.
