Described herein are embodiments of systems and apparatuses that include a dart and/or a clutch for a dart plunger. In an exemplary embodiment, the clutch consists of a one-piece unit having a length, an outside diameter, and an inside diameter where at least a portion of the inside diameter is sized to create a frictional interface with a dart. The clutch may also include a gap, a slot, and/or a spiral cut. The dart may include a shaft having opposite ends and a shaft diameter that varies between the opposite ends.

Dart and clutch assembly

An electronic auto-catcher for catching and releasing a plunger in a lubricator attached to a well. The electronic auto-catcher may include an electronic actuator and an auto-catcher. The electronic actuator may include an actuator that causes lateral movement of an actuator shaft, which causes lateral movement of a stem adaptor, which causes lateral movement of a catcher stem, which causes lateral movement of a ball catching device. The ball catching device holds the plunger in the lubricator and/or releases the plunger from the lubricator so that it may fall down the well. Lateral movement of the actuator shaft is not necessarily equal to lateral movement of the plunger catching device.

Electric auto-catcher

Described herein are embodiments of an improved bypass lubricator. The lubricator may include a body having a bore, where the bore may include at least an upper exit bore and a lower exit bore. The lubricator may also include an exit flow path that also has a bore, wherein the bore of the exit flow path is in fluid communication with the upper exit bore, the lower exit bore, and an exit valve. The upper exit bore and the lower exit bore may be sized relative to one another to create a pressure differential between the upper and lower exit bores to assist in maintaining an artificial lift device in the lubricator's body. Shutting the exit valve shuts in the well.

Described herein are embodiments of systems and apparatuses that include a dart and/or a clutch for a dart plunger. In an exemplary embodiment, the dart plunger includes a dart adapted to move between a first position and a second position and also between a maximum closed position and a minimum closed position. Varying diameters of the dart, and/or the opening in which the clutch is retained, enable the clutch to variably retard movement of the dart between its first, second, maximum, and minimum positions.

Embodiments of well plunger systems, assemblies, and apparatuses are described. In an embodiment, the apparatus includes a body having a first open end, a second open end, and a channel extending from the first open end through the body to the second open end, the channel for passing fluid from an oil or gas well. The apparatus may also include a receiver disposed at the first open end, the receiver configured to receive a stopper configured to at least partially seal off the channel, the first open end comprising a retention member receiver configured to receive one or more specially adapted retention members for applying a retention force to the stopper when the stopper is engaged with the receiver.

Well plunger systems

Embodiments of a forged flange lubricator and systems incorporating the same are described. In an embodiment, the forged flange lubricator may include a main body configured to receive fluid raised by a plunger lift assembly from a well. Additionally, the lubricator may include a port in the main body configured to conduct fluid as it is received by the main body, wherein the main body and the port are a unitary structure devoid of applied junctions.
