A foldable device for a merchandise storage container includes a promotional panel that has a printable surface disposed on the same side of the blank used to create the device as the other printing surfaces of the device. When the blank is printed, material can be added to the promotional panel at the same time and with the same equipment as the other surfaces of the lid. A reinforcing panel can be attached to the promotional panel to reinforce a lateral wall of the device.

A foldable lid for a box-type container includes a promotional panel that has a printable surface disposed on the same side of the blank used to create the lid as the other printing surfaces of the lid. When the blank is printed, material can be added to the promotional panel at the same time and with the same equipment as the other surfaces of the lid. When the lid is assembled, the promotional panel is disposed on the inside of the main body panel of the lid facing the cavity of the container. When the user removes the lid, the promotional panel can be viewed.

In one exemplary configuration, the pillow pack is configured for automobile wiper blades and the disclosure is relevant to various other items of elongated merchandise that are relatively heavy for their size.

A merchandise storage container includes an integrated hang tab. The hang tab is connected to the outer end panel that defines a portion of the lid of the container so that the hang tab may be use to help open the container when the user has removed the container from a display hook. The hang tab can be formed from only a single layer of material. A locking tab latches into a slot defined between an inner end panel and a rear wall of the container. The hang tab includes spaced legs disposed on either side of the locking tab. This configuration of the hang tab evenly distributes the hanging forces on either side of the locking tab.

A merchandise storage container includes belly band retaining tabs. The retaining tabs are moved to their extended positions when the merchandise storage container is formed. The retaining tabs are disposed at the corners of the container so that a belly band used with the container can slide up and down along the length of the container while encountering at least some resistance at the corners before the band separates from the container. The retaining tabs are flexible so that a person can intentionally remove a belly band by pivoting the tabs out of the way or by forcing the belly band over the tabs.

A merchandise storage container having a sleeve and a pair of pull out merchandise holders that are both stored in the same sleeve but may be pulled out to extended positions from opposite sides of the sleeve. The sleeve is configured to allow the two holders to be pulled out to their extended positions simultaneously. The sleeve is also configured to allow the holders to be pushed back to their retracted positioned simultaneously without interfering with one another. The sleeve is configured to prevent the holders from jamming during the operation of the container.

Media disc storage container

A package configuration for holding merchandise includes a rotatable element that selectively displays different information to the user as the element is rotated. The rotatable element is restrained without a central hub or pivot pin. The restraining configuration limits lateral movement and minimizes pinching of the rotatable element. In one configuration, the merchandise storage package has a cover assembly having front and rear covers that define at least one window. Three pocket tabs restrain the lateral movement of the rotatable element. Each pocket tab is integrally folded from the blank used to form the storage package. One of the pocket tabs is double folded over itself to form a spacer having a thickness of three layers of blank material. Another pocket tab is folded over the spacer tab to form a fourth layer of material between the front and back covers.

A media storage and display sleeve is adapted to fit over a media storage container to provide a unique interactive marketing piece to be viewed and handled by the consumer. The sleeve includes an inner sleeve that receives the traditional media storage container and a pair of outer sleeves that slide back and forth over the inner sleeve between closed and open configurations. Stops are used to impede the outer sleeves from being readily removed from the inner sleeve.

A media storage container has a sleeve and a slide out tray wherein the sleeve includes a feature that helps to hold the disc in the tray in the event the disc holding hub breaks. In one configuration, the sleeve includes a tab that has been folded over at least once such that the tab is wedged between the inner surface of the upper wall of the sleeve and the top of the disc holding hub. In another configuration, the tab is folded over itself twice to create three layers of tab material between the inner surface of the upper wall of the sleeve and the disc holding hub.
