A sealed electrical connector assembly (2) used to interconnect wires (4) with a printed circuit board comprises a receptacle connector (6) matable with a pin header (8). The receptacle connector (6) includes a secondary lock (60) located on the mating face of an insulative housing (30). Integral latches 50 are received within correspondingly shaped pocket (62) in the secondary lock. A conductor seal cap includes a plurality of projections which can be selectively removed. Remaining projections seal individual seal cavities. A stamped and formed pin is used in the pin header. An integral plug is used to seal the leak path on the interior of the stamped and formed cylindrical pins.

Sealed stamped and formed pin

Programmable sealed connector

A dual molded seal electrical connector having deformable seals adhering to relatively rigid body portions establishes sealing integrity for individual pin and socket terminals joining corresponding conductors. An interface seal surrounds a cavity containing one terminal and receives a cylindrical protuberance on the other connector housing. The seal is deflected radially outward upon engaging a conical surface on the protuberance. The connector bodies comprise one-piece molded members formed sequentially of different materials in the same mold.

Sealed connector having unitary molded housing

Multicontact detachable sealed electrical connector having two connector halves receiving male and female terminals therein is used to establish a sealed interconnection between conductors in one or more circuits. Conductors in separate circuits are separately sealed, and sealing integrity can be maintained even though less than all of the circuits are interconnected. Terminals are received within cavities in the housing and one housing has a plurality of tubular protuberances defining a cavity extension. Inner seals are positioned around these protuberances and are deflected when partially received within the cavity in the other housing to maintain separate sealing integrity at the interface between the two connectors.

Detachable sealed multicontact electrical connector

A dual-in-line plug and socket assembly in which the socket assembly has spaced rows of contact arms and opposed side walls comprising a series of barriers located between respective contact arms, profiles of the barriers extending transversely beyond the contact arms in lateral directions to protect the contact arms. The plug assembly includes a series of ramp surfaces located adjacent a component body supporting portion and arranged to interdigitate with the barriers and to urge the contact arms against contact legs of the component during mating the plug and socket assembly.

Dual-in-line plug and socket assemblies

A dual-in-line socket assembly in which rows of electrical contacts are mounted in cavities extending along the insulating housing, each terminal having a receptacle portion opening to a first, plug receiving, face of the housing and tab portions projecting from a second, opposite housing face. First and second one-piece terminals each comprising a slotted component lead gripping portion and a tab portion are anchored in the housing with the tab portions extending closely adjacent tab portions of respective predetermined contacts to provide composite plugs whereby each terminal tab portions and contact tab portions can be plugged into a common aperture in a printed circuit board. A component may be located in a recess extending between the rows completely within the profile of the housing.
