A brush core for engaging and rotating a generally cylindrical brush having a hollow bore is provided. The brush core includes, but is not limited to, a body section forming an outer surface for engaging the hollow bore of the cylindrical brush. The outer surface of the body section includes three or more sides.

A method for forming a longitudinal bend in a strap in a strapping machine by forming a pre-bend in the strap between a first wheel and a second wheel having cooperating, non-planar strap contact surfaces and subsequently forming the longitudinal bend in the strap between the second wheel and a third wheel having cooperating non-planar strap contact surfaces.

A strap having increased column stiffness includes a leading edge and a trailing edge forming a length of the strap, a first outer edge and second outer edge defining a width of the strap, and a first side and a second side defining a thickness of the strap. A crush region is formed in the first or second side, between and generally parallel to the first and second outer edges. The crush region is defined by a thickness that is less than the thickness of the strap adjacent to the crush region. The crush region forms a line along which a bend may be formed in the strap. The bend increases the column stiffness of the strap at least about 67 percent over that of a comparable flat strap. The bend defines an acute angle and an obtuse angle in the strap as viewed in cross-section.

A chemical anchoring assembly useful for fast application of a driving tool into a borehole includes an elongated tube having a first end and a second end, a quantity of chemical anchoring material within the elongated tube, and a vent at the second end of the elongated tube. As an anchor pin is driven through the elongated tube and into the borehole, forcing the chemical anchoring material into the borehole, some of the pressure caused by compression of the chemical anchoring material is released into the vent, allowing easier driving of the anchor pin.

A wedge-type anchor assembly, capable of meeting cracked concrete testing standards, comprises an anchor bolt component and a substantially C-shaped expansion sleeve component annularly disposed about the anchor bolt component. A plurality of annular grooves, threads, or teeth are disposed only about the forward end portion of the expansion sleeve component, as opposed to throughout the entire axial length thereof, so that when the anchor bolt component is moved axially through the expansion sleeve component, the maximum interference area (M.I.A.) and maximum interference volume (M.I.V.) can be generated between the anchor bolt component and the expansion sleeve component in a controlled and predictable manner, as well as between the expansion sleeve component and the internal peripheral side wall portions of a concrete substrate or substructure can be generated so as to enhance pull-out resistance and reliability of the anchor assembly within the concrete substructure or substrate. The expansion sleeve component may be plated with a tin-zinc (Sn&#x2014;Zn) composition, and the rear end portion of the expansion sleeve component may have a larger diametrical extent than the forward end portion of the expansion sleeve component so as to enhance pull-out resistance.

A wedge-type anchor assembly, capable of meeting cracked concrete testing standards, comprises an anchor bolt component and a substantially C-shaped expansion sleeve component annularly disposed about the anchor bolt component. A plurality of annular grooves, threads, or teeth are disposed only about the forward end portion of the expansion sleeve component, as opposed to throughout the entire axial length thereof, so that when the anchor bolt component is moved axially through the expansion sleeve component, the maximum interference area (M.I.A.) and maximum interference volume (M.I.V.) can be generated between the anchor bolt component and the expansion sleeve component in a controlled and predictable manner, as well as between the expansion sleeve component and the internal peripheral side wall portions of a concrete substrate or substructure can be generated so as to enhance pull-out resistance and reliability of the anchor assembly within the concrete substructure or substrate.

A moisture resistant film is for covering an architectural structure. The film includes a flexible membrane defining a plane and a first plurality of spaced apart, discrete embossings formed in the membrane extending outwardly of the plane. The embossings are formed in rows in an x-direction and in columns in a y-direction. The rows are parallel to and spaced from one another and the columns are parallel to and spaced from one another. A method and tool for making the film are also disclosed.

The disclosure relates to a semi-soft cap or patch which is secured by adhesive to a slider on a zipper in a reclosable package. This cap or patch prevents the slider from puncturing the web or film of the bag during high pressure pasteurization. Further, the cap or patch is secured to a tear-away header which is formed as a shroud over the zipper. This allows the user to tear off the header which likewise removes the cap or patch from the slider. The header, with the cap or patch still attached thereto, can thereafter be disposed of as a single piece.

Sliders for closing the zipper of an evacuable storage bag. The slider is generally U-shaped and comprises a pair of mutually opposing sidewalls, a bridge connecting the sidewalls, and a generally U-shaped stiffening rib projecting outward from the sidewalls and bridge. In accordance with various aspects of the invention: (1) portions of the sidewalls on both sides of the stiffening rib have undulating external surfaces that facilitate manufacture by injection molding; (2) both sides of the stiffening rib are provided with respective curved depressions that are generally symmetrical relative to a central plane of the slide and that facilitate grasping by the storage bag user; and (3) retaining hooks at the distal ends of the sidewalls have angled surfaces that form an included angle of 30 to 45 degrees at an entry point into the gap between the sidewalls to facilitate automated slider insertion onto a zipper.

A one-way valve allows air to be drawn from a collapsible, flexible, airtight bag using a vacuum source. When the vacuum source is removed, the one-way valve prevents air from re-entering the bag. The valve assembly comprises a base, a valve element supported by the base, and a cap fitted onto an end of the base that is disposed in the exterior of the bag. The base comprises a flange that is disposed in the interior of the bag and is joined to a peripheral area surrounding a hole in one wall of the bag. One surface of the flange has a series of concentric heat-concentrating circular beads for speeding up the conduction heat sealing operation by which the valve assembly is attached to the bag. The valve cap is provided with a circular wall that presses the diaphragm of the valve element against a circular bead on an annular seat formed on the base for supporting the valve element.

A bulk container liner assembly for use in conjunction with a bulk material cargo container comprises structure incorporated therein such that restraint forces are impressed upon or transmitted to the back or rear wall member of the bulk material cargo container liner, along linearly seamed loci, so as to effectively prevent the back or rear wall member of the bulk material cargo container liner from experiencing or undergoing any outward bulging thereof under the influence of the hydrostatic head load forces generated internally within the bulk material cargo container liner as a result of the charging of bulk cargo material into the interior portion of the bulk material cargo container liner.

A warewash machine includes a housing including an area for receiving wares to be washed and a liquid dispensing arm removably positioned within the housing, the liquid dispensing arm including a nozzle receiving opening. Removably positioned in the nozzle opening is a nozzle that is configured to output liquid in a specific output pattern. The nozzle receiving opening and the nozzle are cooperatively shaped and configured such that when the nozzle is inserted in the nozzle receiving opening the nozzle is automatically positioned such that an orientation of the specific output pattern relative to the area is automatically set to a specific orientation.
