A cup made of a paper material having a fillable interior, which cup is formed by a conical sleeve and a bottom. The bottom is attached to the sleeve at the lower end of the interior with a bottom skirt in an essentially liquid-tight way. The sleeve and/or the bottom in the area of the bottom skirt and/or the bottom skirt itself comprises, at least in one area along the periphery, an outwardly projecting widening. A lower edge of the widening forms a standing surface for the cup. The widening can serve to hold another cup of the same type, and can act together with a similar cup during stacking. The cup can include a heat insulating outer sleeve.

Described is a process and an arrangement for the treatment of objects, in particular for sterilization, comprising at least one chamber for the joint take-up of at least two objects to be treated. A closing element is arranged to the opening of the chamber, which closing element is arranged in a moveable way in the arrangement for the purposes of opening and closing the opening. The chamber can be closed by means of the closing element in a vacuum-tight way, whereby no relative movement takes place between the closing element and the chamber in the closed state. It is provided that the minimum of two objects to be treated are inserted one after the other, and that the closing of the opening by means of the minimum one closing element takes place essentially on a continuous basis.

Process and a device for treating objects

A cup made of a paper material having a fillable interior is described, which cup is formed by a conical sleeve and a bottom. The bottom is attached to the sleeve at the lower end of the interior with a bottom skirt in an essentially liquid-tight way. The sleeve and/or the bottom in the area of the bottom skirt and/or the bottom skirt itself comprises, at least in one area along the periphery, an outwardly projecting widening. A lower edge of the widening forms a standing surface for the cup. The widening can form means for holding another cup of the same type, which means can act together with a similar cup during stacking. The cup can comprise a heat-insulating outer sleeve.

A process for operating a packaging transport system in which objects packed in packaging which is bacteria-impermeable but gas-permeable are sterilized, whereafter the packaging, possibly after removal of some packaging parts, is sterilized again on its outer side in a sterilization chamber which acts as a transfer lock, and then guided into a sterile clean room. The objects involved may, in particular, be syringes having injecting needles, which are filled and sealed in a filling device located in the clean room. Sterilization in the sterilization chamber is accomplished by abruptly applying a vapor mix consisting of water steam and hydrogen peroxide vapor as a condensate layer on the outer side of the transport containers, and immediately removing the condensate layer and the uncondensed vapor mix from the sterilization chamber before any significant amount of hydrogen peroxide is deposited inside the transport containers.

Process for operating a packaging transport system

An arrangement for sterilizing objects by using a low-pressure plasma. The arrangement includes an evacuable chamber for holding the objects, which evacuable chamber can be connected to a conduit for gas to be ionized. A high frequency transmitting device with an antenna system is provided for inductive generating of an alternating current plasma in the chamber. The antenna system includes two plasma generating coils spaced apart from each another.

Device for sterilizing objects

A cup made of paper material comprises a fillable interior, which is formed by a conical sleeve and a bottom. The bottom is attached with a bottom skirt and essentially liquid-tight to the sleeve at the lower end of the interior. The sleeve comprises at its upper end an outwardly formed lip. The height of the lip is greater than the height of the bottom over the standing surface of the cup at the lower edge of the bottom skirt.

Described is a sterilization chamber for sterilizing objects for application in a process in which a vapour composite, composed of water vapour and hydrogen peroxide vapour, is guided without a carrier gas flow into the sterilization chamber in which a vacuum prevails, whereby the vapour composite settles on the surfaces of the objects to be sterilized and on the surfaces of the sterilization chamber in the form of a condensation layer, which is suctioned off by means of further evacuation of the sterilization chamber after a certain reaction time. In accordance with the present invention, the surfaces of the sterilization chamber consist of poor heat-conducting, water-repellent material.

In a process for sterilizing objects, the surfaces of the objects are dampened by condensating a steam compound of water and hydrogen peroxide. The steam compound reaches hereby the objects to be sterilized without any additional transport gas flow. Subsequent drying occurs by means of evacuation at a pressure below the boiling points of water and hydrogen peroxide.

In order to sterilize previously washed containers in an evacuable reactor, a low pressure plasma is generated by a high frequency generator. A microwave generator is also and can be switched on for drying the container before the plasma is ignited.

Process for sterilizing containers

A process is described for evacuating a reactor, in which at least one object is sterilized by means of Low pressure plasma. The reactor must be evacuated from atmospheric pressure to plasma discharge pressure. At least two separate, successive evacuation stages are hereby provided. In the first. evacuating stage and a possible further evacuation stage, the reactor is brought down step by step to a reduced intermediary pressure. In the last evacuation stage the reactor is evacuated to the plasma discharge pressure. For each evacuation stage it is advantageous to provide a separate vacuum chamber, to each of which the reactor is corrected. This brings with it the advantage that the entire amount of gas does not need to be transported through one single pump or a single set of pumps.

In the case of a machine installation for sterilizing, filling and closing containers it is provided that the above named devices are arranged together in a station, which is, with regard to drive, independent of the mechanism for feeding and removing the containers. A plurality of such stations can be provided, which preferably comprise a plasma sterilizing reactor.

An arrangement sterilizes metal cans with a low-pressure plasma. The necessary reactor is formed by two electrodes Inserted into one another, whereby an annular gap remains for the container sleeve. The metal can is connected electroconductively with the outer electrode. The sterilizing plasma can hereby be ignited between the inner electrode and the inner surfaces of the metal can.

In order to sterilize the inner surfaces and the outer surface area located in the area of a filling opening of pressure sensitive non-electroconductive containers by means of a low-pressure plasma, an evacuable chamber is provided, which is essentially formed by two electrodes which surround the container.
