Systems, devices, and processes are provided to facilitate the streaming of a playback of a recorded program in a video playback recording system. These systems, devices, and processes provide operating the cloud-based DVR in a recording mode for user selection of program content for recordation in a video playback file by the cloud-based DVR wherein the video playback file containing the program content is recorded by the user selection beginning with a start time associated with the DVR event file; and generating a manifest file that contains a program marker of a start time of the program content omitting any recorded commercial content at a beginning of the video playback file associated by beginning of the recording from the start time associated with the DVR event file.

System, device, and processes for intelligent start playback of program content

A device and system are described that include an authentication device having a battery, at least one battery contact, an antenna, at least one antenna contact, a ferrite material barrier, a diode electrically coupled to a battery contact and an antenna contact, and an authenticator coupled to the diode, a battery contact, and an antenna contact. A system includes the device with an authentication device, a transceiver electrically coupled to a near field communication contact, a switch electrically coupled to the transceiver and an antenna contact, and a communication system electrically coupled to the switch.

Disclosed is a human powered water walker having a plurality of two-position flippers for effecting propulsion and steering of the water walker when the same is is actuated by human power. Each of the flippers is beveled at its front end and has at its rear end a downwardly beveled tab. The water walker may have two interlaced boyant ski trimarans to which the flippers are connected.

A radio frequency identification (RFID) device is described. In one or more implementations, the RFID device includes an integrated circuit (IC) die electrically connected to a radio frequency (RF) antenna winding for transmitting electronically stored information via the RF antenna winding. The RFID device also includes a substrate comprising a first core laminated to a second core. The RF antenna winding is routed through the first core and the second core. The first core defines a cavity for retaining the IC die. The cavity is disposed within the RF antenna winding in the first core.

Embedded radio frequency identification (RFID) package

A device and method for aseptically filling high pressure reservoirs in medicament pumps is disclosed. The device preferably includes a filter, a connector having a one-way valve and a filling tube with a terminal needle. The filter is connectable to a pharmacy prepared syringe containing a drug to be transferred to the reservoir of the IDIP. The filter is connected to the connector. The connector has a first and a second inlet port fluidly connected to an outlet port. A one-way valve is located in the connector &ldquo;upstream&rdquo; of the point where the two inlet ports connect to the outlet port. The filling tube is connectable to the outlet port. In use, a pharmacy syringe is connected to the first inlet port. A filling syringe is connected to the second inlet port. The filling tube is connected to the outlet port. The terminal needle of the filling tube is passed through the patient's skin and into the IDIP. The practioner draws the drug into the filling syringe from the pharmacy syringe through the connector. When the filling syringe is full, the practioner pushes the filling syringe plunger in thereby forcing the drug out of the outlet port, through the filling tube and terminal needle into the reservoir of the IDIP. The one-way valve prevents the drug from re-entering the pharmacy syringe.

Valved connector and method of use

The infusion flow rate of the analgesic is increased in response to a command given by the patient receiving the analgesic, and a lock out interval is provided during which time the actuation of the pump by the patient produces no further incremental increase in the flow rate of the analgesic.

A method of intubating a patient and an introducer for use with such method. The placement of the introducer is checked by measuring the carbon dioxide level of the gaseous medium flowing out of it, thereby giving an indication as to whether or not the introducer has been properly placed in the trachea of the patient. The introducer incorporates a flexible tube with a removable reinforcing element inside, which allows the introducer to be sufficiently stiff when being introduced into the patient and after removal of the reinforcing element, sufficiently flexible to be placed between the face of the patient and a face mask used to ventilate the patient.
