An apparatus is provided that comprises photovoltaic cells provided on a first rotatable member, an electric motor having an axial shaft, and a second rotatable member provided with an impeller. The photovoltaic cells capture and convert the solar energy into electrical energy. The electric motor is connected to and is in electric communication with the photovoltaic cells for powering the electric motor. The electric motor converts the electrical energy into mechanical energy for rotating the photovoltaic cells in a first direction about a central axis and for rotating the axial shaft connected to an impeller in a second direction about the central axis. The rotating axial shaft rotates the impeller at high revolutions per minute which generates a flow of air that is directed to the rotating photovoltaic cells on the first rotatable member. The photovoltaic cells are cooled by the air-flow and operate at a lower temperature.

Air cooled photovoltaic cells

A solar powered wheel apparatus comprising one or more photovoltaic cells housed on a rotatable element connected to a rotary object such as a wheel, an electric motor, and an axial shaft. The electric motor is in electric communication with the photovoltaic cells that power the electric motor and is rigidly connected to the rotatable element that houses the photovoltaic cells. The axial shaft is rotatably connected to the electric motor and rigidly connected to a support structure of the rotary object. The electric motor converts electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic cells into mechanical energy causing the electric motor to rotate about the axial shaft. The rotation of the electric motor rotates the rigidly connected rotatable element that houses the photovoltaic cells. The rotation of the rotatable element housing the photovoltaic cells removes heat from the photovoltaic cells and causes rotation of the connected rotary object.

Solar powered wheel apparatus

A hybrid horizontal axis energy apparatus comprising a frame and a rotor assembly rotatably connected to the frame is provided. A drive mechanism is rigidly attached on the rotor assembly and is in engageable communication with an adjacent drive mechanism of an adjacent rotor assembly for rotating the adjacent rotor assembly. One or more solar devices, rigidly attached to the rotor assembly, produce electrical energy. A motor is electrically connected to the solar devices and rotates the rotor assembly about a horizontal axis of the frame on receiving the electrical energy produced by the solar devices. An electrical generator, in engageable communication with the rotor assembly via the drive mechanism, converts mechanical energy produced by the rotation of the rotor assembly to electrical energy. The rotation of the rotor assembly removes light attenuating particles from the solar devices housed on the rotor assembly, thereby increasing efficiency of the solar devices.

Hybrid horizontal axis energy apparatus

A hybrid vertical axis energy apparatus comprising a housing assembly, a drive mechanism, a solar device, a motor, a vertical axle, and an electrical generator, is provided. The housing assembly is configured to rotate along its vertical axis in response to a force of wind and a force of thermal updraft of air flow. The drive mechanism is rigidly attached to the housing assembly and is in engageable communication with an adjacent drive mechanism attached on an adjacent housing assembly. The solar device is rigidly attached to the housing assembly. The motor is connected to and in electric communication with the solar device. The vertical axle is rigidly connected to the motor's axial shaft. The electrical generator is rotatably connected to the housing assembly or the adjacent housing assembly and converts the mechanical energy produced by rotation of the housing assembly and the adjacent housing assembly into electrical energy.
