Disclosed is a method of strength testing of a drawer of a computer rack system. The method utilizes a test apparatus including a first apparatus plate and a second apparatus plate positioned to define an apparatus slot between the first apparatus plate and the second apparatus plate. The apparatus includes a moveable positioning arm disposed in the apparatus slot, the moveable positioning arm including a holder portion, a force gauge secured to the holder portion; and a force applicator operably connected to the force gauge. The test apparatus is secured to an enclosure of the computer rack system and the drawer is located in a desired position in the enclosure. The force applicator is positioned such that the force applicator contacts the drawer at a testing location, and a force is applied to the testing location via the force applicator.

Method for strength testing of drawers in computer rack systems

A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for monitoring and real-time heat load control based upon server and environmental parameters. Multiple types of information technology equipment (ITE) and environmental data are monitored and collected. The collected data are analyzed, and displayed in a summary format. Heat load control rules are stored responsive to analyzing the collected data or a user selected control input. User selected and automated control functions are selectively provided responsive to analyzing the collected data and the stored heat load control rules.

Monitoring and real-time heat load control based upon server and environmental parameters

Exemplary embodiments include an uninterruptible power supply including: at least two inputs in operable communication with a plurality of switches; a plurality of AND gates in operable communication with the plurality of switches; a plurality of NOR gates in operable communication with the plurality of switches; a plurality of inverters in operable communication with an output of the NOR gates; a plurality of light emitting diodes in operable communication with the plurality of inverters and the plurality of AND gates, the light emitting diodes operable for signaling a condition of one of the plurality of inputs; and an output in operable communication with the light emitting diodes, wherein each of the inputs is connected to an uninterruptible power supply, the uninterruptible power supply signals a condition to the uninterruptible power supply controller, and the uninterruptible power supply controller signals the condition to the output if the condition is signaled by all uninterruptible power supplies connected to the uninterruptible power supply controller.
