An intraluminal ultrasound device includes a flexible elongate member configured to be inserted into a lumen of a patient, the flexible elongate member comprising a proximal portion and a distal portion, an ultrasound imaging assembly disposed at the distal portion of the flexible elongate member, the ultrasound imaging assembly configured to obtain imaging data while positioned within the lumen of the patient; and a radiating member disposed at the distal portion of the flexible elongate member and in communication with an ultrasound transducer positioned outside of the patient, wherein the radiating member configured to transmit ultrasound energy from the ultrasound transducer within the lumen of the patient to apply an ultrasound therapy. Associated devices, systems and methods are also provided.

Intraluminal ultrasound device for diagnostic imaging and therapy

Systems, methods, and devices for using ultrasound for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are provided. Ultrasound signals may be transmitted and/or received by ultrasound transducers in an ultrasound device positioned within the anatomy of a patient. The ultrasound transducers may be arranged in an array such that a first segment of the array is configured to transmit ultrasound pulses and receive ultrasound echoes for diagnostic procedures and a second segment of the array is configured to transmit ultrasound pulses for therapeutic procedures. The received ultrasound echoes may be used to generate two- or three-dimensional images of the anatomy.

Intracardiac therapeutic and diagnostic ultrasound device

Intraluminal ultrasound devices, systems and methods are provided. In one embodiment, an intravascular ultrasound device includes a flexible elongate member configured to be positioned within a body lumen of a patient, the flexible elongate member including a distal portion and a longitudinal axis; a first ultrasound transducer array configured to obtain ultrasound imaging data of the body lumen; and a second ultrasound transducer array configured to apply an ultrasound therapy within the body lumen. Both the first and second ultrasound transducer arrays are disposed at the distal portion of the flexible elongate member and circumferentially positioned around the longitudinal axis of the flexible elongate member.

Phased array imaging and therapy intraluminal ultrasound device

An ultrasound system includes an ultrasound device configured to be positioned within a body lumen of a patient. The ultrasound device includes a rotatable, flexible elongate drive cable comprising a proximal portion and a distal portion, a first ultrasound element disposed at the distal portion of the drive cable and configured to obtain imaging data of the body lumen while rotating, and a second ultrasound element disposed at the distal portion of the drive cable and configured to apply an ultrasound therapy to the body lumen while rotating. Associated devices, systems, and methods are also provided.

Intraluminal rotational ultrasound for diagnostic imaging and therapy

Intraluminal ultrasound devices, systems and methods are provided. In one embodiment, an intraluminal ultrasound device includes a flexible elongate member configured to be positioned within a body lumen of a patient, the flexible elongate member including a distal portion and a longitudinal axis; and a transducer array disposed at the distal portion of the flexible elongate member and circumferentially positioned around the longitudinal axis of the flexible elongate member. The transducer array includes a plurality of micromachined ultrasound transducers (MUTs). In addition, the transducer array is configured to obtain ultrasound imaging data of the body lumen in response to a first electrical signal, and apply an ultrasound therapy within the body lumen in response to a second electrical signal.
