Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for routing radio-frequency identification (RFID) location data from an RFID tag reader to a record-keeping unit. A first tagging entry is received from a first record-keeping unit. The information associated with the first tagging entry is stored in a data store. A first set of location data is received, indicating that the RFID tag of the first item has been read by an RFID tag reader. It is algorithmically determined that the received location data corresponds to the first tagging entry received from the first record-keeping unit. The first set of location data is communicated to the first record-keeping unit.

Intelligent routing of radio-frequency identification data

Systems for enabling automated electronic processing of tissue samples are provided. A tissue sample intake mechanism receives a tissue sample that is to be processed, and a cutting mechanism cuts the tissue sample to produce a plurality of sections of the tissue sample. Further, a transporting mechanism causes the tissue sections to be moved from a first location to a second location without user intervention. One or more image capturing devices that capture electronic images of the each of the plurality of sections of the tissue sample are also provided in the system. Additionally, a three-dimensional representation engine is provided for generating a three-dimensional representation of the tissue sample. The three-dimensional representation enables viewing of the electronic images associated with the each of the plurality of sections of the tissue sample.

Systems for automated tissue sample processing and imaging

An apparatus is provided for cutting a tissue sample into a plurality of sections for automated tissue sample processing. The apparatus comprises a cutting mechanism and a holding mechanism. The cutting mechanism comprises a blade having a first reference line that extends from an attachment point of the blade to a rotation mechanism to an outermost point of the blade, and the rotation mechanism having a second reference line that extends from an axis point of the rotation mechanism to the attachment point, wherein the blade rotates around the axis point. The holding mechanism causes the tissue sample to remain stationary while the blade makes, at least, a first rotation around the axis point, resulting in a first tissue section cut from the tissue sample.

Cutting apparatus for automated tissue sample processing and imaging

A method is provided for cutting a tissue sample into sections. A blade having a first reference line is provided that extends from an attachment point of the blade to a rotation mechanism to an outermost point of the blade. Also provided is the rotation mechanism having a second reference line that extends from an axis point of the rotation mechanism to the attachment point. Further, a tissue sample is provided that remains stationary for at least a portion of a cutting process by way of a holding mechanism. By way of the rotation mechanism, the blade is caused to rotate such that a first rotation of the blade causes a first cut of the tissue sample that produces a first tissue section.

Methods are provided for performing automated digital processing of a tissue sample. A tissue sample that is to be processed to produce a three-dimensional representation of the tissue sample is received, and is aligned with a cutting mechanism that comprises a blade. A plurality of sections of the tissue sample are produced by way of a rotating blade. The sections are moved from a first location to a second location on a surface of a transporting mechanism. During this move, electronic images of the each of the sections are captured using image capturing devices. The images for the each of the sections are compiled to generate a composite image for the each of the plurality of sections. The composite images are used to generate the three-dimensional representation of the tissue sample.

Methods for automated tissue sample processing and imaging

An endotracheal device comprises an air tube adapted to be inserted through the oral or nasal passage and into the trachea to provide an air passage for respirating a patient. The air tube includes an inflatable cuff mounted at the distal end, and a membrane containing a cushioning material disposed along the air tube adjacent the cuff in a position to prevent direct contact between the air tube and the cricoarytenoid joint and its surrounding tissues.
