Systems and methods for painting, which might be used to paint the soil in a golf hole are provided. A spraying device can comprise a first masking apparatus, a second masking apparatus coupled to the first and a paint dispersing device, between the first and second masking apparatus. The paint may disperse from a single nozzle that can include multiple individual exit points for the spray. In another embodiment, the single nozzle includes an exit point and a flat or curved plate to direct the spray. Alternatively, the paint dispersing apparatus may comprise multiple nozzles. The nozzles may be provided with paint using tubes connecting from a paint source, such as an aerosol paint can, to each nozzle. The first masking apparatus can be a golf cup mask and the second masking apparatus can be a putting green mask.

Method and apparatus for spray painting soil of a golf hole

A golf cup assembly is disclosed. The golf cup has a lower cylinder assembly having a cylindrical housing and a transverse member positioned within the interior of the cylindrical housing. A generally cylindrical sleeve depends from and is supported by the transverse member and is adapted to receive and support a flagpole. An upper cylinder has a sidewall adapted to slidably engage the upper portion of the lower cylinder assembly and extends above the upper rim of the lower cylinder housing. The overall assembly has a means for securing the upper cylinder to the lower cylinder assembly. Preferably, the upper cylinder is plastic and the lower cylinder assembly is metal.

Golf cup

A medicinal container is constructed of a holder adapted to receive and hold a bottle containing the medicinal tablets. The open top portion of the bottle is threadedly engaged with a cap for providing an air-tight seal. A chain is secured to an ear portion of the holder and is adapted to extend around the neck of the user.

In a sewing machine for performing twin overedging and seaming in one high-speed operation, specially designed top and bottom variable feed dogs pull the two plies through a three needle stitching area with improved, simplified elements for diverting one ply edge while the other is being overcast. The upright overcast edge of the top ply passes through a tunnel formed through the top feed dog. A guide wall attached to the throat plate guides the top edge away from the bottom overedging station. A guard wall can be attached to the presser foot to keep the turned-up top edge away from the seaming needle. A fiber optic/pneumatic system controls automatic stop, presser foot/top feed retraction and between-work thread cutter functions. Alternative front edge guides facilitate feeding the two plies in registration.

A walking foot top feed for a sewing machine in which a walking foot is supported on a beam and a presser foot is supported on an arm, an independent beam being connected to both the presser foot arm and to the walking foot beam and a source of power being connected to the independent beam, the independent beam transferring motion from the source to the walking foot beam and to the presser foot arm to cause out-of-phase movement of the walking foot and the presser foot.

Walking foot feed for sewing machines

A top feed arrangement for cooperation with a lower feed dog of a sewing machine, the lower feed dog cyclically engaging and disengaging the lower surface of material to be sewn in order to move that lower surface along a predetermined path through and past the sewing machine. The top feed arrangement comprises an upper feed dog carried by an arm that is linked to an oscillatory take-off from the primary drive system of the sewing machine. The arm is connected to the device at one end in a pivotal connection and the upper feed dog is carried at the other end of the arm. The arm is resiliently urged in a direction to cause the upper feed dog normally to approach the lower feed dog. A lifter device also responsive to the primary drive system of the sewing machine, periodically moves the upper feed dog in a direction away from the lower feed dog against the resilient force. The linkage from the sewing machine drive to the top feed is housed in a recessed area removed from the work and an uncluttered large work area is provided.

Circumferential stitching of a tubular workpiece is assisted by means of a moving support and feed system which includes a rotatable drum of smaller diameter than the workpiece having an upper end surface positioned adjacent to a stitching station with a conventional stitching mechanism. The workpiece is prepared for stitching by pulling it axially onto the drum like a sleeve. The portion of the workpiece to be stitched is then advanced transversely through the stitching station by a puller which engages the top of the workpiece while the drum is rotated synchronously to keep the workpiece from twisting. A portion of the drive system for the stitching mechanism runs through the interior of the rotating drum. A blind cutter next to the stitching station enables the operator to cut excess thread inside the workpiece after stitching simply by moving the workpiece in a certain manner. The apparatus is particularly designed for sewing a series of spaced reinforcing rings on a long flexible tube of fireproof fabric.

Tubular work feeder for sewing machine

A top feeding device for advancing the upper layer of material in synchronism with the lower layer of material being sewn. The top feeding device includes an upper feed dog moving periodically in conjunction with a lower feed dog to grip and advance the materials being sewn along a path related to the stroke of the stitching needle or needles of the sewing machine. Drive for the top feeder is derived from an eccentric cam mounted on the sewing machine main drive shaft, motion being positively transferred to a pivotal upper feed dog arm by means of a lever arm depending from that arm and being a cam-following surface held under adjustable pressure in contact with the eccentric cam. The pivot for the upper feed dog arm is disposed upon an extension of the main lower feed bar which thereby provides horizontal motion to both the upper and lower feed dog arms.

Top feed for sewing machine

A prepackaged syringe assembly consists of a syringe and a vessel containing respective substances to be mixed at the time of medication to the patient, the vessel being slidably and rotatably mounted in one end of a transparent support tube and the syringe having an offset needle and being slidably detachably mounted in the other end of the tube, and rotation of the vessel between predetermined positions locating a syringe needle sealing body and a puncturable closure element on the inner end of the vessel in alignment with the needle.

Disclosed is an improved top feed arrangement for cooperation with a conventional lower feed dog of a sewing machine, the lower feed dog cyclically engaging and disengaging the lower surface of material to be sewn in order to move that lower surface along a predetermined path through and past the sewing machine. The top feed arrangement comprises an upper feed dog carried by an arm that is pivotally linked to the drive means causing the cyclical movement of the lower feed dog. The arm is connected to those drive means at one end in a pivotal connection and the upper feed dog is carried at the other end of the arm. Biasing means bear against the arm at a location intermediate the upper feed dog and the pivotal connection to the drive means. A lifter means, responsive to the drive system that actuates the sewing machine needle, periodically moves the upper feed dog in a direction away from the lower feed dog against the force of the biasing means. Preferably, the arm which carries the upper feed dog is guided for movement in a vertical plane by a first bearing surface of the arm engaging a vertical confining surface of the sewing machine frame and a second bearing surface engaging a confining surface of the biasing means.
