A device is provided for administering medicaments in solid finely divided form to patients. The device comprises a housing, a tray mounted in the housing and movable between first and second positions relative to the housing, a support disc provided on the tray and adapted to receive a carrier provided with at least one medicament container. A plunger is operable to penetrate a container registered therewith to open the container, movement of the tray from its first to its second position being such as to cause the support to bring a container into registration with the plunger. Air enters through an air inlet and there is an outlet through which a patient can inhale air having medicament therein.

Inhalation aid

The application describes a closure for a container, the closure comprising a first part to be mounted on the container and a second part pivotally connected to the first part to close upon the first part. First tamper-evident means are provided between the two parts and a catch is provided on one of the parts. The catch is movable between a first neutral position and a second position in which it can connect with the other part, the catch in its second position forming second tamper-evident means. The catch is preferably provided on the second part and it is pivotable between its said two positions.

Aerosol applicator

A device is described for indicating the number of doses dispensed from an aerosol container (2, 102) having an outlet valve member (4, 104) movable relative to the body of the container to dispense its contents in measured doses. Relative movement between the aerosol container body and the outlet member are detected by a ratchet wheel (14, 114) and ratchet driving member (11A, 111) which move with the body and outlet member respectively or vice versa. The ratchet wheel may in turn drive an indicating member in the form of a linear rack (20, 119, 120) or rotatable wheel (116).

Indicating device

A device is provided for administering medicaments in solid finely divided form to patients. A pack is provided comprising a circular carrier disc provided with a plurality of containers arranged in a circle and each containing a dose of medicament in particulate form. The containers are puncturable to permit the medicament therein to be released.

Pack for administering medicaments to patients

A device is provided for dispensing a mixture of propellant and product (e.g. medicament) from a pressurized aerosol container (3). The device has a housing (1) receiving the container (3), a cover (7) and an actuator lever (10) all pivotally connected to one another. The axes of pivoting are so arranged that moving the cover (7) from a closed position to an open position puts the device in a 'primed' condition in which squeezing the housing (1) and actuator lever (10) together displaces the container (3) with respect to the housing (1) and thereby opens the outlet valve (4) of the container (3) to dispense mixture from the container.
