In an embodiment, a screen apparatus is provided. The screen apparatus is comprised of a base and a screen case. Disposed within the base are a power inverter, one or more batteries, a fuse panel, and a first screen roller. Disposed within the screen case is a second screen roller. The screen case is further provided with a means for hanging the screen case from a stable structure. The screen case is pulled away from the base to expose a screen.

A gangway includes a ladder, which is removably attachable to extend along a side of a boat, and a ramp, which is removably and pivotally attachable to the ladder at a number of vertically spaced locations. The ladder may include a step that is pivoted to extend outward for use with the ramp attached at or below the step. The gangway may also include a removable step that can be attached to the ladder at the locations provided for attachment of the ladder.

Apparatus for forming tapered spiral tubes from strips, is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a spiral tube forming system for forming a strip into a spiral tube; a strip infeed system adapted for feeding a strip to the pipe forming system; and computer-controlled means for continuously varying the angular orientation of the tube forming system relative to the strip infeed system to selectively vary the diameter of the forming tube. The selective variation of the diameter includes linearly tapered and curved profiles, as well as constant (unchanging) diameter profiles and combinations thereof.

It employs a non-current drawing piezo element which only sees part of the frequency band of interest to briefly activate or wake up a current-drawing electret microphone which has a bandwidth broad enough to sees the entire audio band of interest.

A bellows pipe construction and method for manufacturing are disclosed wherein helically wound coils of longitudinally corrugated strip are joined with an interlocking seam. Thereafter, the interlocking seam is deformed to position the edges of the strip in substantial parallelism with the axis of the pipe. The resulting pipe can be extended or shortened for installation and will further adjust and accommodate ground movement without substantial loss of strength.

An indexing apparatus aligns cutouts to be formed in a panel with objects which are located on a structure. The indexing apparatus includes a holder having first and second guides. The first and second guides each have a front and rear face and include an elongate slot which slidably engages a spacer having a length. The slot on the first guide holds the length of the spacer normal to the length of the spacer in the slot on the second guide. A tapered portion located on the first and second guides adjacent the slot frictionally engage the spacer as the spacer slides through the slot to hold the spacer in a plurality of selected positions relative to the holder.

Infrasonic switch device to actuate an alarm in response to detection of infrasonic energy, including a multi-position switch circuit having a 'standby' or 'reset' position responsive to infrasonic signals, an infrasonic detection circuit to detect and pass selected levels of infrasonic energy, a trigger circuit to actuate an alarm such as a light or a buzzer for a predetermined time upon detection of the selected levels of infrasonic energy, and a timing circuit to permit actuation of the alarm for a predetermined time when the multi-position switch is in the 'standby' or 'reset' mode. The device also includes delay switching angle circuitry to consume the power to operate the device's internal components utilizing only selected portions of both the positive and negative AC power cycle and to utilize the balance of each AC cycle to operate the alarm.

A swimming pool vacuum apparatus as described in the U.S. Pat. No. 3,443,264 can be improved by providing a plate holding an outlet nipple from the container of such an apparatus on the bottom of the container so that the position of the outlet nipple can be varied or changed by changing the position of the plate. The lid in such an apparatus is improved through the use of a peripheral groove on the lid facing the top of the container containing an O-ring which fits against the container so as to form a seal with it. Preferably spacers are provided limiting the amount that the O-ring can be compressed and holding the O-ring within the groove.
