A system and method for wireless power transfer to an electronic device in motion, such as an inertial sensor assembly, is disclosed. In the method, a power level of a battery in the electronic device is monitored to determine whether the power level is at or below a prescribed threshold. One or more internal power ports of the electronic device are aligned with one or more external power ports when the power level is at or below the prescribed threshold. A wireless power signal is transmitted from the one or more external power ports to the one or more internal power ports. The power signal received by the one or more internal power ports is processed to charge the battery in the electronic device.

Method and system for wireless power transfers through multiple ports

A DC-to-DC converter comprises a converter section and a controller section. The converter section comprises a primary section and a secondary section. The primary and secondary section includes MOSFET switches. The controller section is coupled to the converter section and comprises a pulse width modulation (PWM) section and a delay section. The PWM section comprises an error amplifier configured to generate an error signal representative of a variance between an output voltage of the converter section and a reference voltage and a PWM configured to produce a PWM signal based on the error signal. The delay section comprises of delay circuits configured to generate delayed output signals from the PWM signal and power switching device drivers coupled to the delay circuits and configured to receive the delay output signals and generate a controlled signals to control the on/off state of the MOSFET switches.

Control circuit for lossless switching converter

An inertial measurement unit comprises an outer case assembly including an upper gas plenum and a lower gas plenum, with upper and lower support shells surrounded by the upper and lower gas plenums. A sensor assembly includes a sensor shell, with the sensor assembly surrounded by the upper and lower support shells. A plurality of gas bearing pads extend through apertures in the upper and lower support shells and are configured to inject a first pressurized gas into a gap that separates the gas bearing pads and the sensor shell. A wireless power transfer transformer includes a power transmitting core mounted to the outer case assembly, and a power receiving core mounted in an opening of the sensor shell. The receiving core is configured to be aligned with the transmitting core for wireless power transfer. The transmitting core is configured to inject a second pressurized gas into a gap between the transmitting core and the receiving core.
