Compositions having a fluoropolymer with a nitrile-containing cure site and at least a) a mono azide with at least one functional group in the beta position, or b) a polyazide, as a curing agent as well as methods and articles thereof are described. Articles of this disclosure are found to exhibit excellent chemical resistance and thermal stability.

Fluoropolymer compositions and method of making and using thereof

Provided is a curable fluoropolymer composition comprising a fluoropolymer comprising interpolymerized units of tetrafluoroethylene, perfluoro(aliphatic vinyl)ether, and a nitrogen-containing cure site monomer; a catalyst to form cross-links with the nitrogen-containing cure site monomer; an organic peroxide; a co-agent to participate in a peroxide cure; and a hydrotalcite compound. Also provided is an article comprising the cured fluoropolymer reaction product of the curable composition and a method for forming a shaped article.

Dual cure hydrotalcite containing fluoropolymer compositions

Provided is a composition comprising a fluorocarbon polymer, a radical initiator, and a first curing co-agent. The first curing co-agent comprises at least one silicon-containing group selected from a hydrocarbyl silane and a hydrocarbyl silazane. Furthermore, the first curing co-agent is substantially free of siloxane groups and comprises at least one polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group. Also provided are the reaction product of these compositions and a method of making an elastomer comprising curing these compositions.

Fluoropolymer curing co-agent compositions

A cold shrink article including a fluoroelastomer composition comprising a first fluoroterpolymer having a weight average molecular weight centered from about 10to about 10. A second fluoroterpolymer included in the fluoroelastomer composition has a weight average molecular weight centered at 10. The first fluoroterpolymer combines with the second fluoroterpolymer to provide a mixed terpolymer. Other components of the fluoroelastomer composition include a processing aid, a filler, an oil, and a curative. The fluoroelastomer composition upon curing at an elevated temperature provides the cold shrink article that has a permanent set value of 21% or less.
