A camouflage cover for equipping an outdoor enclosure with three-dimensional nature effects includes a plurality of elongated nature-effect strands that drape over the enclosure in a substantially vertical arrangement. The vine-like nature-effect strands help conceal hard lines and corners of the enclosure structure. The cover may include adjustment straps that allow a single cover to adapt to a number of enclosure structures. The adjustment straps, where used, may include interwoven cords and cord locks for adjusting tension of the straps. The nature-effect strands may have different camouflage patterns so that an enclosure can have an appropriate camouflage scheme no matter what season or environment. Tiebacks may optionally be used to permit horizontal adjustment of the nature-effect strands, in order to prevent allow free access to windows and doorways. Auxiliary loops may also be provided to allow attachment of additional nature effects by a user.

A reinforced archery arrow shaft includes a tubular core, with an attached two-part sleeve either covering the core, or disposed inside the core as a liner. The core may include carbon therein. The sleeve includes at least one higher-density front section formed from a fabric material, which is wrapped around and affixed to the core. The sleeve also includes a lower-density rear section wrapped around and affixed to the core behind the front section. The sleeve fabric may have a decorative design or pattern on the exterior surface thereof. The higher density of the front section provides front-of-center weight distribution in the finished arrow shaft. Optionally, accessories may be attached to the arrow shaft to form an arrow.

In a method of making an arrow shaft, a fabric section is placed around a hollow tubular core, and is affixed thereto. The core may include carbon therein. An adhesive or protective composition, associated with the fabric, is cured to adhere the fabric to the core. The adhesive may be impregnated into the fabric prior to its placement on the core, or may be applied to the fabric by methods such as spraying, dipping, brushing, or powder coating. The shaft may be treated to make the exterior surface smooth after curing. A reinforced archery arrow shaft made by the method includes a tubular core and an attached fabric sleeve covering the core. The fabric is wrapped around and affixed to the core. The sleeve fabric may have a decorative design or pattern on the exterior surface thereof. Optionally, accessories may be attached to the arrow shaft to form an arrow.

A portable hunting blind or enclosure, to provide cover to a hunter or naturalist in the field, is provided with a scent-dampening liner. An enclosure according to one embodiment includes at least one wall, and a lining material disposed on a surface thereof. In the described embodiment, the lining material includes a binder and a multiplicity of carbon particles interspersed in the binder. The liner may be directly affixed to an inner wall surface. Alternatively, the lining material may be affixed to a separate fabric surface, which is attached to the inner wall. In another aspect, the enclosure includes screen panel sections pivotally connected in a sequence. In still another aspect, a tent-like structure is formed of flexible fabric and includes a roof section and a support structure.

A wild game feeding apparatus includes a support structure, a food distributor, and a collapsible reservoir. The reservoir is made collapsible in order to minimize the size of the apparatus for ease of storage and transport. Wild game feed, such as corn, wheat, or other particulate food is loaded into the collapsible container, whence it exits out of the bottom of the container and contacts the distributor. The distributor includes a rotating plate for distributing the food in a limited radius from the feeder apparatus. Optionally, the apparatus may include a control mechanism including a timer, to actuate operation thereof at specific time intervals which are pre-set by a user.

A portable hunting blind or enclosure, to provide cover to a hunter or naturalist in the field, is provided with a scent-dampening liner. An enclosure includes at least one wall, and a lining material disposed on a surface thereof. In a first illustrative embodiment, the lining material includes a binder and a multiplicity of carbon particles interspersed in the binder. The liner may be directly affixed to an inner wall surface. Alternatively, the lining material may be affixed to a separate fabric surface, which is attached to the inner wall. The enclosure may include screen panel sections pivotally connected in a sequence. Alternatively, the enclosure may be a tent-like structure which is formed of flexible fabric and includes a roof section and a support structure.

A seat cushion, for use with an elevated outdoor hunting or observation stand, is constructed with a plurality of layers therein. The seat cushion is constructed in two or more layers in which one layer includes an envelope with a gas sealed therein. The envelope may include at least two independently sealed chambers. A second layer of the seat cushion includes a flexible foam pad above the envelope. The seat cushion may further include a reinforcing member below the envelope, which may be made of foam which is denser than the foam of the top foam layer. A portable tree seat apparatus is also described, including a frame, an attachment member for cooperating with the frame to attach the frame to a tree, and the multi-layer seat cushion.

The sleeve is formed from a fabric material, which is wrapped around and affixed to the core. Preferably, the sleeve fabric carries a decorative design or pattern on the exterior surface thereof. In a method of making an arrow, a piece of fabric is placed covering a hollow tubular core, and is affixed thereto. Then, a resin or protective composition, associated with the fabric material, is cured to adhere the fabric to the core. The resin may be impregnated into the fabric prior to its placement on the core, or alternatively, may be applied to the fabric by conventional methods such as spraying, dipping, brushing, or powder coating. The shaft may be treated to make the exterior surface smooth after curing. Optionally, accessories may be attached to the arrow shaft to form an arrow.

A burner apparatus for an outdoor cooking stove includes a hollow gas distribution ring, and an attached fuel conduit for sending fuel thereto. The gas ring has a hollow plenum formed therein. In a specific embodiment, the gas ring includes a base portion and an annular cap which is attachable to the base portion, and the annular cap has a plurality of primary apertures formed therethrough, as well as a plurality of secondary apertures which are smaller than the primary apertures. The secondary apertures are located at a level below the primary apertures. The fuel conduit has a hollow passage formed therethrough, which is in fluid communication with the plenum of the gas distribution ring. An outdoor cooking stove including the burner apparatus is also described, along with a kit for constructing same.

A game tracking device for use in combination with a bow and arrow comprises a tracking line, a canister and a mounting bracket. The canister is mounted to the bow by means of the mounting bracket which is configured to mount the canister at a point laterally removed from the bow. The tracking line is center wound and stored within the canister and is secured at a free end thereof, to an arrow. In this manner, when the arrow is launched, the tracking line is paid out of the canister to track the position of the arrow. An arrow is disclosed herein which is adapted to receive securely the free end of the tracking line.
