A headrest frame for a seat is disclosed. In various embodiments, the headrest frame includes a main body portion having a stowed length; a top portion configured to assume a stowed position and a deployed position with respect to the main body portion, the deployed position defining a deployed length greater than the stowed length; and a deployment mechanism configured to urge the top portion into the deployed position from the stowed position.

Extendable split headrest

An inertial lock assembly is disclosed. In various embodiments, the inertial lock assembly includes a tracking rod oriented with respect to a longitudinal axis, a housing slidably disposed about the tracking rod, the housing including an inner surface having a first portion extending from an apex to a first end spaced longitudinally from the apex, a first sliding member slidably disposed about the tracking rod and within the housing proximate the first portion of the inner surface and a first binding member slidably disposed about the tracking rod and within the housing, the first binding member positioned between the apex and the first sliding member.

Linear inertial lock

A headrest assembly for an aircraft seat includes a headrest frame having a body portion, a top member interconnected with the headrest frame, a spring clip member interconnected with the top member, a bracket member with a locking rivet, and a headrest tube having a longitudinal slot. The top member includes a plurality of elongated slots and the bracket member is coupled to the headrest frame. The headrest tube is configured to receive the locking rivet in the longitudinal slot in a locked position and thereby lock the headrest tube to the headrest frame.
