Methods and systems are provided for aiding in searches with an imaging sensor from a sensor platform. The method comprises utilizing the imaging sensor to detect multiple points of interest from the sensor platform. The multiple points of interest are displayed on an image display shown on a display device. Each point of interest is labeled on the image display and analyzed separately to determine details of the point of interest. Each analyzed point of interest is tagged on the image display with a distinctive marker to indicate completion of the analysis for that point of interest.

Scanning aid for camera-based searches

A method and system for providing playback of air traffic control (ATC) communications for a pilot of an aircraft has been developed. First, an audio communication is received from the ATC for the pilot of the aircraft. The audio communication is segmented into three separate audio channels including: a raw channel of the audio communication as received, an enhanced channel of a filtered version of the audio communication, and a synthesized channel of a speech synthesized version of the audio communication. An identification function identifies segments of each audio communication with reference to identifying data for the aircraft. The separate audio channels are then stored in an electronic memory for later retrieval by the pilot of the aircraft.

System and method for enhanced playback of air traffic control communication

A display system includes a display device and a processing system. The display device includes at least one display region. The processing system receives motion data indicative of relative motion between the display device and images, viewed by a user, on or through the at least one display region. The processing system supplies visual cue commands that cause only a first visual cue to be generated on or adjacent to the left peripheral side and only a second visual cue to be generated on or adjacent to the right peripheral side or only the first visual cue to be generated on or adjacent to the top peripheral side and only the second visual cue to be generated on or adjacent to the bottom peripheral side, and to selectively vary either the positions of the first and second visual cues, or the positions of the first and second visual cues.

Display system and method for reducing motion sickness

Methods and systems are provided for displaying transcriptions of radio communication transcription for an aircraft. The method comprises capturing audio signals of radio communication traffic to and from the aircraft. The captured audio signals are preprocessed to divide the signals into independent spoken utterances. Each spoken utterance is transcribed using a speech recognition decoder that utilizes an air traffic control (ATC) speech recognition model and classification data is extracted from the transcription of each spoken utterance. The transcription of each spoken utterance is logged with reference to the classification data and a textual display of the transcription is provided to a crew member of the aircraft.

System and method for displaying radio communication transcription

A system and method capable of distinguishing sources in a multiple source environment is provided. The system receives an audio signal comprising an audio tag, a desired audio signal and an undesired audio signal. Based on the audio tag, the system eliminates the undesired audio signal and identifies an intended command in the desired audio signal. The system generates a command for an external device based on the intended command.

A method for determining and optimizing manufacturing of an object by additive manufacturing. One or more computers access a three-dimensional digital model of the object and automatically generate a selected number of versions of supports for manufacture of the object. An image of the generated supports is displayed along with the object for visual perception by a user. The user visually observes the displayed versions of supports and object and uses the images to evaluate whether manufacturing the object by additive manufacturing is viable and whether the additive manufacturing supports are optimized. When viable, the object may be built by additive manufacturing using the optimized additive manufacturing supports to support the object.

A camera captures an image of a structural bearing, such as a hanger bearing or a rocker bearing. Additionally, an instrument detects a temperature. A computing system determines, based on the temperature, an expected angle of the bearing relative to a base line. The computing system also determines an actual angle of the bearing relative to the base line. The computing system superimposes a first line on the image, the first line indicating the expected angle. Furthermore, the computing system superimposes a second line on the image, the second line indicating the actual angle.

The method post-processes, by at least one processor onboard the aircraft, a set of speech recognition (SR) hypothetical data to increase accuracy of an associated SR system, by: obtaining, by the at least one processor, secondary source data from a plurality of secondary sources; comparing, by the at least one processor, the set of SR hypothetical data to the secondary source data; and identifying, by the at least one processor, an aircraft tail number using the set of SR hypothetical data and the secondary source data; identifies, by the at least one processor, a subset of the received radio voice messages including the tail number; and presents, via a display device onboard the aircraft, the subset using distinguishing visual characteristics.

An intent managing system and a method for operating the same are provided. The system, for example, may include, but is not limited to a processor communicatively coupled to an input system and a memory. The processor may be configured to receive a voice command, determine how many of a plurality of voice controllable systems utilize the voice command, automatically select one of the plurality of voice controllable systems, generate an indication of the selected one of the plurality of voice controllable systems, receive, from the at least one input system, confirmation of the selected one of the plurality of voice controllable systems, and execute the received voice command at the selected one of the plurality of voice controllable systems when the confirmation is received.
