One of the methods includes: receiving a request from a user to contact a person of interest; determining that contact information for the person of interest is not available in the user's contact information to which the system has access; determining that the collective address book system has access to contact information for the person of interest; generating proxy contact data for the person of interest; and providing the proxy contact data to the first user.

An energy management controller for controlling and limiting the time during which high current draws may be made by one or more of a plurality of single serve coffee brewers that are commonly connected to the same circuit and which include heater constructions that require and draw high power at certain times during operation, and require and draw lower power at other times. It includes one controller board, connected to the primary brewer to complete a circuit, and which board includes heat and wait timer functions to monitor the power status usage with respect to all of the brewers.

Energy management system and method for controlling high current draws from variable current devices commonly connectable to an electrical circuit

System and method for supplying water to plants. A photodetector detects light adjacent the plants and a threshold circuit generates a first signal representative of a first state when the level of illumination of the detected light is less than a threshold level and generates a second signal representative of a second state when the level of illumination of the detected light is greater than the threshold level. A processor is responsive to the first and second signals for anticipating approximately when the detected light will next change from the first state to the second state and approximately when the detected light will next change from the second state to the first state. A counter circuit responsive to the processor generates an initiate signal and a terminate signal. The counter circuit generates the initiate signal a first period of time before or after the anticipated change from the first state to the second state and generates the terminate signal a second period of time before or after the anticipated change from the second state to the first state. A valve control circuit, responsive to the initiate signal for beginning a sequence of alternating on and off periods and responsive to the terminate signal for ending the sequence, controls a valve arrangement which supplies water to the plants.

Misting and watering system controller with light sensistive detector

A machine wraps pipe as it travels along a substantially linear path between a feeder reel from which the pipe is unwound to a take up reel onto which the pipe is rewound. A pipe wrap assembly for wrapping one or more layers of tape about the pipe is rotatably mounted on a carriage. A mechanism mounted on the carriage and engaged with the pipe drives the carriage along the pipe as the pipe travels from reel-to-reel. As the carriage is driven along the pipe, the tape is spirally applied to the pipe by the pipe wrap assembly. The carriage is supported for lateral horizontal movement in response to variation in the unwind and rewind points on the feeder and take-up reels. The carriage is also supported for longitudinal horizontal movement in response to changes in the rate of travel of the pipe relative to the rate of travel of the carriage. A drive control mechanism permits variation in the rate of travel of the carriage to compensate for variations in the rate of travel of the pipe between the reels to maintain the carriage in generally constant position as the pipe travels between the feeder and take up reels. The controller may be manually operated in response to visual observations by the operator or may be automatically operated in response to sensor or computer data to determine the longitudinal position of the carriage.

Reel-to-reel pipe wrap machine

A pipe wrap machine capable of dispensing one or more continuous strips of pipe wrapping material in a constant spiral path around a pipe includes mechanisms for simultaneously setting and calibrating the pitch of the spiral path of the machine. The shafts of three longitudinally aligned pairs of wheels are connected so that each pair of wheels can be simultaneously rotated to a selected angular alignment in relation to the pipe circumference. Each connecting rod is provided with an indicator and scale, so that each pair of wheels may be easily rotated to a precalibrated position to provide the desired amount of pitch. Each of the wheel shafts extends through a collar mounted on the machine frame. A set screw through each collar permits locking of its shaft at selected lengths of extension through the collar. Depending upon the diameter of the pipe to be wrapped, the set screws are loosened, the shafts extended to conform to the length of a precut spacing rod selected according to intended pipe diameter, and the set screws retightened to lock each shaft at precisely the right length for the pipe to be wrapped.
