An ultrasonic detector has a housing containing a transducer, a battery or other power supply, and any other necessary electronics. At a front end of the housing is a socket into which one of a plurality of interchangeable probes can be inserted. At the rear end of the housing, there is a handle by which an operative can hold the detector in use. On the inside of the housing, extending at least partially into the handle, is an elongate chamber within which at least one probe can be stored. A cover of the handle closes a rear end of the probe storage chamber and can be removed to expose a portion of the probe storage chamber and allow a probe to be inserted or removed.

A process and device are disclosed for creating a low adhesion cooking surface. The process involves placing a hydrogen containing substance on a cooking surface; and extracting the hydrogen from the substance so that the hydrogen remains in recesses on the cooking surface. The hydrogen may be extracted by creating an electric charge on the surface, the electric charge drawing hydrogen into pores or recesses in the surface. The device preferably includes a housing which contains a high voltage generator. The output end of the generator is positioned so as to generate an electric arc when activated.

Process and device for forming a low adhesion cooking surface

A sanitizer for sanitizing a portable electronic device is provided, the sanitizer having a base including a cavity for receiving the electronic device, at least one ultraviolet radiation source for emitting ultraviolet radiation into the cavity, a cover cooperating with the base, the cover moving between an open position wherein the electronic device can be inserted into or removed from the cavity and a closed position wherein the cavity is enclosed so as to substantially maintain the ultraviolet radiation within the cavity, and a controller for enabling the ultraviolet radiation source to be activated only when the cover is closed.

Sanitizer for portable electronic devices

A cooking device including a permeable cooking layer having an outer cooking side and an inner side on the opposite surface from the outer side. A plurality of apertures are formed through the cooking layer from the inner side to the outer side. A heating layer is located adjacent to the inner side of the cooking layer. A plurality of passages are formed between the heating layer and the cooking layer so as to channel a non-stick fluid beneath the cooking layer. A non-stick fluid reservoir is in fluid communication with the passages. The reservoir adapted to store a non-stick fluid. In one embodiment, the non-stick fluid is a liquid hydrogen.

Permeable non-stick cooking surface

A system for displaying engine temperature information for a temperature control system in an internal combustion engine. A first temperature sensor senses the temperature of ambient air. A second temperature sensor senses the temperature of an engine oil. A third temperature sensor senses the temperature of a temperature control fluid. The sensors provide signals indicative of the sensed temperatures to an engine computer. The engine computer compares the sensed ambient air temperature to a first set of predetermined values to determine a desired engine oil temperature. The engine computer also compares the sensed ambient air temperature to a second set of predetermined values to determine a desired temperature control fluid temperature. A signal indicative of the desired engine oil temperature and/or the desired temperature control fluid temperature is output from the engine computer to a display system. The display system displays the desired and the sensed temperature signals. The display system may be incorporated into the instrument panel of a vehicle. Alternately the display system may be part of a testing apparatus for testing the operational state of the temperature control system. One or more gauges may be incorporated into the display for accurately displaying the desired and sensed temperatures.
