A cable harness for use in a backplane is provided. The cable harness includes a primary hybrid signal and power backplane connector having a primary housing. The primary housing includes a primary signal pair element and a primary power connector. The cable harness also includes a secondary hybrid signal and power backplane connector having a secondary housing. The secondary housing includes a secondary signal pair element and a secondary power connector. The primary hybrid signal and power backplane connector is connected with the secondary hybrid signal and power backplane connector with a signal cable. Each of the primary and secondary hybrid signal and power backplane connectors is electrically connected with a power supply unit each via a power cable.

A hinged busbar assembly includes a first mounting busbar configured to be electrically and mechanically connected to the first component at a fixed connection, a second mounting busbar configured to be electrically and mechanically connected to the second component at a fixed connection, and at least two extension busbars extending between the first and second mounting busbars. Adjacent extension busbars are electrically and mechanically connected to each other at a pivotal connection. One of the at least two extension busbars is electrically and mechanically connected to the first mounting busbar at a pivotal connection, and another one of the at least two extension busbars is electrically and mechanically connected to the second mounting busbar at a pivotal connection. Each pivotal connection includes at least one extension extending from each adjacent busbar and at least one electrical contact mounted in each extension, and a pin inserted through the electrical contacts.

A spine is configured to support and protect a cable harness. The spine includes a plurality of segments arranged along an axis. Each segment includes a first and second housing parts which can be closed to form a passageway or can be opened to expose cavities within each housing part. The housing parts are mated together at adjacent ends by couplings. The housing parts form at least one opening which accepts a cable of the cable harness. A lock is engaged to lock the housing parts in a closed position.
