Devices and methods provide for the sensing of physiological signals by providing a stimulation waveform that includes a stimulation pulse followed by an active recharge pulse to clear the charge in capacitors within the stimulation path. The active recharge pulse is followed by a period of passive recharge and then a period of no recharge. Non-neurological sources of artifacts within the sensed physiological signal may be handled by providing a brief period of passive recharge followed by a lengthy period of no recharge, which is made possible by the use of the active recharge pulse prior to the passive recharge. The period of no recharge removes any low impedance path to ground from the stimulation electrodes, which allows an amplifier of the sensing circuit to provide common mode rejection of non-neurological signals, such as cardiac signals, present at the sensing electrodes.

Devices and methods for sensing physiological signals during stimulation therapy

Devices, systems, and techniques are described for transitioning between different groups of electrical stimulation programs. For example, a system may control delivery of second electrical stimulation defined by one or more second programs of a second group of stimulation programs on a time-interleaved basis with first electrical stimulation defined by one or more first programs of the first group of stimulation programs. The system may change a first ratio of the one or more first programs used to define the first electrical stimulation to the one or more second programs used to define the second electrical stimulation delivered within a first period of time to a second ratio of the one or more first programs used to define the first electrical stimulation to the one or more second programs used to define the second electrical stimulation delivered within a second period of time.

Changing electrical stimulation

Plumbing devices (10,30,60) are described comprising a source of light in a gimbal system (12,13,51,72) for providing two oppositely directed aligned vertically oriented beams of light. The gimbal system (12,13,51,72) is removably attached to a support (14,31,61). A handle (14a,45,62) is provided for holding the plumbing device at various distances from underlying and overlying surfaces. Each of the light beams can be focused individually. A windshield (15) is provided for removable attachment to the support for preventing wind induced oscillation of the light source. A rigid frame (32,33,65) is provided for holding the light source in a fixed position relative to an object to be plumbed and for removable attachment to the object while the object is being plumbed.

Point-to-point self-plumbing apparatus and method

A tubular aluminum housing, having vertically centered pinpoint light bulbs at either end in nose cones, is suspended on a stand by a gimbal system, and has an on-off switch and batteries such that the light bulbs will emit aligned light beams above and below the housing. The nose cones are threaded onto the housing such that they can be moved upwardly and downwardly for focusing of the light beams. Colluminator and magnifying lenses are contained in the nose cones for magnification and additional focusing. A wind shield is disposed on the stand around the housing.
