Disclosed is a form-fitting glove and catching device that provides sports fans with a ready means to catch a ball entering the spectator seating area while not reducing the wearer's ability to handle items will the glove is worn. The device comprises a glove having a body region covering the palm region and backside region of the wearer's hand, a thumb portion, a forefinger portion and a plurality of shortened finger portions. Spanning between the thumb and forefinger portions is a mitt web material for accepting a baseball or similar sports ball therein. The palm region includes a layer of protective padding, while the base of the body region comprises an opening having a strap securement means. The mitt web is a woven or netted material being secured along its periphery to the exterior portion of the thumb portion and forefinger, or alternatively to the thumb portion and middle finger.

An extension pole suitable for use in light bulb changing operations. The extension pole comprises first, second, and third telescopically intercoupled sections. A first locking assembly selectively locks the first and second sections to one another, and a second locking assembly selectively locks the second and third section to one another. The extension pole is made entirely of non-conductive materials to thereby reduce the risk of electrical shock to the operator.

A paint roller assembly is disclosed as including a handle that is configured for use with a variety of extension poles, each requiring a different type of connection with the handle. The handle includes a pole connector socket extending inwardly from one end thereof that is designed to receive a number of different pole connectors. The illustrated socket is provided with a tapered wall section and a circumferential groove, with the former being configured to provide a press fit attachment between the handle and connector and the latter being configured to provide a snap fit attachment between the handle and the connector. The illustrated handle is particularly designed to alternatively attach to a pole connector for use with the standard externally threaded pole, a unique connector configured specifically for use with pole having a unique push-button locking mechanism, and a tapered connector used with extension poles predominantly in Europe, although various other connectors adapted for press or snap fit attachment with the handle may be used.

An extension pole is disclosed for use with a paint roller tool. The pole and handle cooperatively provide a smooth flush connection and prevent relative rotation therebetween. In particular, an end portion of the extension pole comprises a locking mechanism that is designed to releasably interconnect the paint roller tool and the extension pole via operation of a button assembly on the extension pole. The locking mechanism includes a housing presenting a narrow outer surface defined along a circle coaxial with the pole and snugly received within the paint roller handle. A wide outer surface spaced radially outward from the narrow surface presents a key section, which when received within a recess extending inwardly from the rear end of the tool handle, cooperates with the handle to prevent relative rotation between the tool and extension pole. Additionally, the wide surface of the extension pole, as well as the key section thereof, are designed to be flush with the gripping surface of the tool handle, thereby creating a connection that is comfortable to the user and aesthetically appealing.
