An air freshener with customizable fragrances is disclosed. The air freshener accepts a plurality of fragrance modules, which allow a user to create customized fragrant environments. A fan and/or heating element are included to increase fragrance dispersal. Additional components may be included into the air freshener to provide enhancements to the user experience, including but not limited to a clock, timer, or a music player. The air freshener obtains power from a number of sources, such as AC mains or DC batteries. Energy storage devices located on board the air freshener may be charged by inductive or solar power. The air freshener may also include lighting elements and styling cues to integrate into the local environment.

An air freshener device is provided which includes a portion to display cut flowers or other decorative accents, as well as an optionally-powered portion that contains fragrance and one or more of a variety of fragrance dispersal devices. The air freshener device may include an inductive charging system to allow for the device to be electrically charged and placed remotely from its charging base station relying on on-board electrical power storage. Other power sources such as AC or DC power supplies, batteries, or capacitors may also be used to power the air freshener device.

A customizable disposable paper wipe system in which the wipes are sold to the consumer in a dry state to permit the consumer to prepare customized pre-moistened wipes. In one embodiment, the dry wipes are provided to the consumer with a dispenser for dispensing the pre-moistened wipes. In this embodiment, the dispenser may include a diluent fill line and a legend dictating the amounts of various alternative cleaning agents that can be added to the pre-determined amount of diluent for different applications.

A dilutable, non-rinse hard surface cleaner is provided that includes (i) either (a) a combination of a specific nonionic surfactant and a quaternary ammonium surfactant or (b) a combination of a specific nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, (ii) a water soluble glycol ether, (iii) a builder, (iv) d-limonene, and (v) water. The composition may also include pH modifying agents, buffers, fragrances, thickeners, dyes, pigments, so long as they do not detract from the advantageous performance aspects achieved by the compositions of the present invention.

Liquid detergent compositions containing from about 1% to about 90% of a surfactant selected from anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric surfactants and mixtures thereof are prepared with a hydrotrope that is a mixture of an alcohol ethoxylate and a polyethylene glycol ether of glycerin. The hydrotrope provides increased foam generation. The use of a polyethylene glycol ether of glycerin and an alpha hydroxy acid in a liquid detergent composition further promotes skin improvement and maintains healthy skin of the person using the detergent.

Liquid detergent compositions containing from about 1% to about 90% of a surfactant selected from anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric surfactants and mixtures thereof are prepared with a hydrotrope that is a mixture of an alcohol ethoxylate and a polyethylene glycol ether of glycerin. A cleaning and protectant composition for automotive painted surfaces is provided. The composition includes a low-foaming nonionic surfactant, a silicone antifoam emulsion, and a volatile silicone fluid. A method of cleaning and protecting an automotive surface includes applying the composition to the surface.

Soil separation apparatus includes a container, such as a bucket, from which cleaning liquid is taken and to which that liquid is returned after is has been used for dirt removal. The container is provided with a soil separator. The separator has at least one associated projection and depression, and preferably, a plurality of associated projections and depressions. The separator is positioned in the container to receive dirt settling under gravity from the contained liquid and, in particular, onto the depressions. The form and structure of the separator is such that disturbance of the liquid in the container does not wash the collected dirt back out into the main body of liquid to a significant extent.

Light duty lubricant compositions containing volatile silicones are prepared which when applied to metal surfaces show improved penetration and spreadability. Preferably, the composition includes a volatile silicone fluid, a hydrocarbon solvent such as mineral spirits, a lubricating oil soluble in a hydrocarbon base such as hydrocarbon oils and optionally a corrosion inhibitor such as petroleum oxidates. An aerosol propellant is contained in one preferred embodiment of the light duty lubricant composition. In an additional preferred embodiment, a method of freeing frozen or corroded parts with a light duty lubricant composition is disclosed.

Concentrated high active-cleaning compositions are prepared which exhibit excellent cleaning performance, dispersibility and homogeneity in solution. The compositions of the present invention include a nonionic surfactant such as fatty alcohol ethoxylates, alkyl phenol ethoxylates and alkyl polyglycosides and an amide cosurfactant such as fatty acid dialkanolamides. Optional ingredients can be included such as a secondary surfactant, a pH control agent, a hydrotrope, dyes, fragrances, preservatives, denaturing agents and the like. In one preferred embodiment, the high actives cleaning composition is used as a detergent base. A method is also disclosed for use of a detergent base. In another preferred embodiment, the concentrated cleaning composition is diluted by the end user to a desired strength for specific cleaning purposes. A method is also disclosed for use of the concentrated cleaning composition.

An automobile surface protectant composition containing volatile silicone which when applied to a wet surface displaces water and imparts gloss and water repellency. Preferably, the composition includes a volatile silicone fluid, an amino-functional silicone fluid, and an organopolysiloxane fluid.

A liquid cleanser composition, particularly for use as a hard surface cleanser that comprises a mixture of from about 0.5% to about 10% of a terpene selected from mono- and sesquiterpenes and mixtures thereof, from about 1% to about 10% of a water miscible solvent, and, from about 1% to about 10% of an amide surfactant. The composition can also contain from about 10% to about 70% of a water-insoluble abrasive.
