A coupling for holding two tubes together and including a housing member connected to the end of one of the tubes and a locking collar rotatably mounted in said housing for rotation between a first rotative position in clamping engagement with an end of a second tube inserted into the housing and into fluid communication with the first tube and a second rotative position permitting insertion of the end of the second tube into the housing.

Quick-connect coupling

A quick connect connector for fast connection of fluid carrying assemblies such as a mating tube and a fluid unit. The connector includes a connector body which houses the connector components and accepts a redundant clip which pushes an upset bead of the male tube toward an annular seal which surrounds the end of the male tube. The redundant clip includes fingers which are received within an external groove on the connector body when the tube head is in the fully locked position within the housing. The fingers of the redundant clip proved a secondary locking feature in the event that the locking fingers of a primary locking within the connector body should fail. The position of the redundant clip provides a visual indication of a positive lock of the connector. The forward end of the annular seal within the connector body includes a unidirectional shut-off valve of duckbill seal which precludes outflow from the connector in the event of unintended or accidental disconnection of the mating tube from the connector.

Quick connector

A readily attachable and detachable coupling for connecting conduits, having a receptacle assembly with a profiled bore, a first end designed to mate with one end of a first conduit and a second end adapted to receive a mating plug member. The plug member is provided with a first end adapted to mate with the second end of the receptacle, a second end adapted to mate with a second conduit, a constant diameter axial bore and an annular retaining flange. A locking assembly having an engaged position and a disengaged position is mounted to the second end of the receptacle assembly. The locking assembly includes a pair of resilient spring elements operatively associated with a rotatable collar so that rotation of the collar disengages the locking assembly. The locking assembly is designed to return to the engaged position once the rotative force has been removed. When the plug is inserted into the receptacle, the annular flange outwardly displaces the spring elements. The spring elements then return to their initial configuration thereby engaging the retaining flange, preventing relative axial movement between the plug and the receptacle. The coupling is readily detached by rotating the collar thereby forcing the locking assembly into the disengaged position, and extracting the plug member. The coupling also includes a sealing member which renders the connection fluid-tight.

Quick connect coupling

A quick connect connector is disclosed. The connector includes a connector housing having a first and a second ends. A first chamber is provided in the housing between the first and the second ends for receiving a sealing member therein. A retaining collar is slidably mounted on the housing between the first and second ends of the housing and includes at least one radially deflectable locking portion thereon. The radially deflectable retaining portion is adapted to engagingly contact a flange portion of a tubing member inserted in the housing to retain the tubing member in a locked position relative to and sealingly engaging the sealing member between the retaining portion and the first end of the housing. The locking portion is received within a groove of the housing to lock the collar to the housing and secure the connection. The tubing connector is resiliently urged out from the housing and against the engaged retaining portion of the housing.
