A hydrant drainage boot is installed around a water supply line and a frost-free hydrant to prevent dirt and debris from blocking the drainage port, and ensures unobstructed drainage of the hydrant. The frost-free hydrant has a linear riser pipe having a pipe top end and a pipe bottom end, a pivoting operating lever having a spigot a valve having a drain port, and a pipe connector. The hollow boot body has a first housing and a second housing attached to form a boot body with a boot cavity, base drainage slots, side drainage slots, water drainage louvers, raised louvers, and input and output ports. The hydrant drainage boot is enclosed around at least the valve, the pipe connector, a water supply line and a portion of the riser pipe of the frost-free hydrant.

Frost-free hydrant drainage system

An improved base synthesis process and catalyst for the preparation of pyridine or its alkylpyridine derivatives involving the catalytic reaction of one or more aldehydes and/or ketones containing from one to about five carbon atoms, with at least one reactant having more than one carbon atom, with ammonia in the gas phase. The improved catalyst comprises an effective amount of a shape-selective zeolite which has been modified by treatment with one or more metal ions or compounds of tungsten. zinc or tin. The preferred zeolite has a constraint index of about 1 to 12 and a high silica content and correspondingly low concentration of ion-exchange sites with minimal to no acidic sites present.

Pyridine base synthesis process and catalyst for same

A process for the selective production of 3-methylpyridine in high yield comprising the step of contacting a vaporized feed stream containing 2-methyl-1,5-pentanediamine with a metal-oxide catalyst of other than an alkali metal at a temperature of about 500.degree.-600.degree. C. for a contact time of less than about 30 seconds. The catalyst may be on a suitable heterogeneous support, and additives in the feed stream may include 3-methylpiperidine as well as water, hydrogen, ammonia, or nitrogen or some other inert gas. A fluid-bed reactor is preferred, with recycling of by-product and continuous effective runs without catalyst regeneration being accomplished at the stated temperatures.

High temperature process for selective production of 3-methylpyridine

An elongated handle with an internal supply of fresh dental floss and a flossing head including a fork provides oral hygiene. A fresh section of floss is advanced by a one-touch arrangement which concurrently relegates spent floss to a separate take-up reel. The fresh floss spanning the tines of the fork is kept taut at all times as a result of various special expedients including a differential spool and drum and a rack and pinion floss locking arrangement. When the supply of fresh floss on the bobbin is exhausted, the device is discarded.
