A scooter with casters or similar devices enabling it to move smoothly with efficient change of direction. Also included is an outrigger with crosspieces that provide footrests for the rider. The crosspieces are shaped to enable two scooters to be attached in an assembly. The crosspiece is stored in locked and/or nested fashion in a storage cavity formed into the bottom surface of the scooter. A safety belt and backrest may be used with the scooter.

The present invention is a mouthguard to be used in sports to protect the mouth and teeth from blows to the face and head. The mouthguard has a three layer laminate construction and is fabricated from thermoplastic material that may be softened in hot water to enable a user to form it to the contours of his or her mouth. The mouthguard is formed from an upper portion shaped into a channel with holes distributed on the channel floor and a lower platform with posts aligned to fit into the holes. A part of the posts extend from the upper portion to the platform to form gaps between the upper portion and the platform with the gaps acting as air cushions. In one embodiment, a strap is attached to the assembled mouthguard.

The present invention provides an improved mouth guard () for braces having a U-shaped base portion () made from EVA or similar plastic having a melting point less than the boiling point of water, and an upper portion () extending generally upwardly from the outer perimeter of the base potion with an inner surface () made from PVC or similar material having a melting point greater than the boiling point of water, whereby a partially custom-fitted mouth guard is provided for users with braces.

The present invention provides a hand shield () adapted for use with a hockey stick. The hand shield includes a flexible shield portion () having a convex outer surface () and an opening configured to accommodate a portion of a hockey stick. The hand shield further comprises an interior grip portion extending away from the shield portion and configured so as to slidably embrace a hockey stick. In one aspect, the interior grip portion includes four generally parallel flexible tabs () which align with the four sides of a rectangular hockey stick.

An orthotic device for reducing dental clenching is provided along with a method for custom fitting said device. The orthotic device includes a tray for receiving the user's upper teeth, a guide ramp for position the user's lower jaw, and a plurality of spacers for providing a gap between the tray and the user's lower posterior teeth during fitting of the orthotic device. When worn by the user, the orthotic device positions the user's upper and lower anterior teeth in substantial vertical alignment thereby preventing contact between a user's upper and lower posterior teeth.

A denture base stabilizing sheet fitting the shape of the user's jaw serves to stabilize the denture base on the jaw. The sheet has a generally trapezoidal configuration, optionally with a cut out in the center, with each corner of the trapezoid having smooth edges. The sheet is made from a composition containing 41 to 43 wt % ethyl methacrylate polymer, 37 to 39 wt % butyl phthalyl butyl glycolate, and 17 to 23 wt % glyceryl triacetate.

A toy musical instrument of the type commonly known as a kazoo having an open-ended turret section, a resonating membrane positioned within the turret section and a retainer member for installation within the turret section and for releasably securing the membrane within the turret section utilizes a turret section having a plurality of protuberences and a retainer member defining an embossment which cooperates with the protuberences to secure the retainer member in a snap-fit relationship with the turret section when the retainer has been inserted a preselected distance through the open end of the turret section. The embossment and the protuberences are so shaped to permit the retainer and the turret section to be disassembled from snap-fit relationship only if the retainer body is positioned in a preselected rotational orientation relative to the turret section.
