A dispensing container is formed from a toroidal-shaped body having a top surface, a bottom surface, and opposing outer and inner sidewalls defining a hollow interior and a central void. A lid having a tab portion hinged to an actuator portion covers part of the top surface of the body and is dimensioned to cover the aperture. The actuator is depressable to cause the tab portion to pivot away from the aperture, thereby allowing one to dispense the contents present in the container.

A dispensing container is formed having a housing with an opening at the top and defining an internal cavity. A wheel is rotatably attached to the housing and includes an arm which extends from the wheel and is dimensioned to cover the opening. The wheel with the extending arm is adapted to pivot away from the opening when the wheel is rotated, thereby allowing one to dispense the contents present in the container.

A packaged egg omelet mix facilitates preparation of omelets by microwave heating. An upper container portion holds an omelet inlay, such as cheese, diced vegetables and diced meat, and has a cylindrical body and an upper end wall. A lower container portion also has a cylindrical body and encloses a sealed container holding an aseptically-packaged liquid egg. The omelet is prepared by depositing the liquid egg and omelet inlay into the lower container portion, and placing the lower container portion in a microwave oven for heating.

A nestable container for storing and preparing a food comprises a base portion which holds the stored food and a lid. The stored food requires substantially less than the full volume of the base portion. The lid is recessed into the base portion being supported by the upper terminus of the side wall of the base portion. The lid may also have one or more recessed areas to hold a second food which is to be mixed with that in the base portion. In use the container is removed from the nested stack, the lid removed, milk or water added if the food in the container is a cereal and the contents heated. The lid can be used as a cover during heating. The second food contained in the lid can be added before or after heating.
