A latch assembly is provided for latching a pluggable electronic module to a receptacle assembly. The latch assembly includes a yoke assembly having an actuation end that is movable between a latched position and an unlatched position. A lever is operatively connected to the yoke assembly to move the actuation end of the yoke assembly between the latched and unlatched positions. A latch element is operatively connected to the actuation end of the yoke assembly. The latch element is movable along a latch axis between an extended position and a retracted position as the actuation end is moved between the latched and unlatched positions, respectively. The actuation end of the yoke assembly is configured to float along the latch axis relative to the latch element.

Latch assembly for a pluggable electronic module

A cage is provided for a receptacle assembly that includes a receptacle connector. The cage includes an electrically conductive body comprising an upper wall, a lower wall, and side walls that extend from the upper wall to the lower wall. The body has a front end and an internal compartment. The front end is open to the internal compartment of the body. The internal compartment is configured to hold the receptacle connector therein. The internal compartment is configured to receive a pluggable module therein through the front end. A connector cover is integrally formed with the lower wall of the body. The connector cover extends within the internal compartment of the body. The connector cover includes an interior chamber that is configured to hold the receptacle connector therein such that the cover extends over at least a portion of the receptacle connector.

Cage and connector cover for a receptacle assembly

An electrical connector includes a plug body having a cavity defined by outer body walls. The cavity has a cavity axis extending between a mating end and a base end of the cavity. The plug body also includes a web portion within the cavity, wherein the web portion extends along the cavity axis and includes a first side and a second side. The first and second sides are spaced apart from, and generally face, corresponding ones of the outer body walls. The plug body is configured to be received within a receptacle of a mating connector, and a portion of the mating connector is received within the cavity along the first and second sides of the web portion when the plug body is mated within the mating connector. The electrical connector also includes a plurality of contacts arranged on the web portion in differential pairs, wherein a first differential pair of contacts is positioned on the first side and a second differential pair of contacts is positioned on the second side for interfacing with the mating connector.

Modular electrical connector with enhanced plug interface

An electrical connector includes a contact sub-assembly having a plurality of contacts arranged on a contact support member. The contact support member has a pair of opposed support walls extending from a base to a mating end, and the support walls are separated by a gap that extends from the mating end toward the base. The contacts extend at least partially along the support walls between the mating end and the base, wherein a first set of the contacts are provided on one of the support walls and a second set of the contacts are provided on the other of the support walls. The contacts are exposed to the gap for connection with a mating connector received within the gap. The electrical connector also includes a housing having a cavity configured to receive the mating connector, wherein the contact sub-assembly is received within the cavity for mating with the mating connector.

Modular electrical connector with enhanced jack interface

A double ended guide pin assembly includes a first guide pin body having a first rotation axis and a first keying surface. A second guide pin body has a second rotation axis and a second keying surface. A fastener element connects the first guide pin body to the second guide pin body such that the first and second guide pin bodies are independently rotatable on the first and second rotation axes, respectively. The first and second keying surfaces are selectively positionable at different orientations with respect to each other.
