A method, according to one example, includes receiving a 360-degree image that was captured by a 360-degree camera, converting the 360-degree image into a rectangular image, and copying an edge portion from a first edge of the rectangular image and pasting the copied edge portion to a second edge of the rectangular image, thereby forming a modified rectangular image. The method further includes applying a neural network to the modified rectangular image to identify objects appearing in the modified rectangular image, wherein the modified rectangular image facilitates object identification near the second edge.

In an example implementation, a sensor communication system includes a sensor to sense a condition and to include the condition in a message formatted in a communication protocol. The system includes a vibration actuator placed in contact with a building structure and operatively coupled to the sensor. The vibration actuator is to transmit the formatted message through the building structure as a vibration pattern, and an accelerometer is to detect the vibration pattern. A receiver hub coupled to the accelerometer is to decipher the condition from the vibration pattern.

The instructions, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to determine access rights of a telepresence robot to a physical location based on access rights of a user that is to control the telepresence robot. In some examples, a mirror display device includes a mirror comprising a surface, and a display panel to display an image that is visible through the mirror, the display panel having a display area that is less than an area of the surface of the mirror. A touch controller is to detect a touch input on the surface, and determine whether the touch input is made at a location of the surface corresponding to the display area of the display panel, or at a location of the surface that is away from the display area of the display panel.

In an example, distance determination can utilize an electronic device including an infrared sensor to detect a thermal signature of a subject at a first location and a thermal signature of the subject at a second location, a distance sensor to determine a distance of the subject at the first location from the electronic device, and a controller to determine a physical size based on the determined distance and the thermal signature of the subject at the first location, and determine a distance of the subject at a second location based on the physical size and a thermal signature of the subject at the second location.

Example implementations relate to establishing communication Sinks with electronic devices. As an example, a computing device includes a data acquisition device to obtain global unique identifier (GUID) of an electronic device using a first communication protocol. The computing device also includes a processor to authenticate the electronic device based on the GUiD. The processor is also to determine device characteristic information associated with the electronic device based on the GUID. The processor is further to establish a communication link with the electronic device based on the device characteristic information and the GUID, The communication link is implemented based on a second communication protocol that is different from the first communication protocol.

Example implementations relate to a projector and an electronic ink display. For example, a system may include an electronic ink display device and a projector device. The electronic ink display device may display first content, and the projector device may project second content onto the electronic ink display device such that the second content is overlaid on the first content.

A computing device can include a first enclosure and a display enclosure. A tag can be on the first enclosure. A sensor on the display enclosure can detect the tag location and generate sensor data. A controller can determine from the sensor data the relative position between the display enclosure and the first enclosure.

In some examples, a projector is controlled to project an image content onto a projection surface in a region defining a display area. Captured images are received that are captured by at least one optical sensor of the projected image content on the projection surface. In the captured images, user touches of a plurality of designated locations of the projected image content on the projection surface are detected. A position of an interaction area based on the detected user touches is determined, and, based on the determined position of the interaction area, it is determined whether the display area and the interaction area coincide.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a system and method for enabling multi-display input. According to one embodiment, the presence of an object is detected within a display area of a first display panel or a second display panel via at least one optical sensor coupled to a processor. Positional data of the object is received from the optical sensor, and a control operation associated with either the first display or second display panel is determined based on the positional data received from the optical sensor.
