The disclosure relates to a security zipper and bag, or one-time closable zipper and bag, and methods of manufacture thereof, wherein the zipper includes double zipper profiles with a layer or strip of adhesive positioned between the two interlocking elements of one of the zipper profiles. Upon the one-time closing of the zipper, the adhesive secures the two double zipper profiles together and prevents a subsequent opening of the zipper or bag without leaving evidence of such opening, such as damage to the zipper or bag. Alternately, adhesive can be provided within the female profiles, with a liner over the adhesive to prevent premature activation.

Zipper for security bag and method of manufacture thereof

The present disclosure relates to the implanting of RFID (radio frequency identification) chips into the slider of a zipper of a reclosable package. This allows for subsequent reading of the RFID identifying data to identify associated with the reclosable package. This can be done by using the RFID data directly or by using the RFID data to access a database This can be done for authentication, security, quality control, inventory control and similar purposes.

RFID methods in the manufacture of reclosable packages

A security zipper is provided, which includes a consumer side zipper pair and a product side zipper pair, where each zipper pair is capable of secure mating. Between the zipper pairs is an intermediate flange pair which is layered with an adhesive as well as an adhesive enhancer to securely connect the intermediate flange pair. A slider is provided over the consumer side zipper pair, the product side zipper pair and the intermediate flange pair which mates the zipper pairs and connects the intermediate flanges so that the zipper is securely closed. A bag is also disclosed, which includes the security zipper and a connected product side pouch. In addition, a method for manufacturing the bag is disclosed.

Zippered security bag

The present disclosure relates to a reclosable package or bag with a slider zipper, and further including a first gusset with a perforated line or similar line of weakness formed between the slider zipper profiles in order to provide tamper evidence and a second gusset formed below one zipper profile in order to allow the filled packaged to stand up for display purposes. This package or bag is typically bottom filled, but then displayed to the customer in the orientation with the bottom in the upper position and the zipper in the lower position. One alternative embodiment substitutes a press-to-close-zipper for the slider zipper. A further alternative embodiment omits the perforated line and provides for a separation in the web between the zipper profiles to form a mouth for the package or bag.

Double gusseted slider package

A flexible reclosable container including profiles which are locked and unlocked by a slider. One embodiment of the slider has a pair of feet which extend from one end of the slider to the other end and which resist pulling of the slider off of the profiles. Another embodiment of the slider has three spaced pairs of feet which resist removal of the slider from the profiles. The slider in one embodiment has an enlarged central portion which facilitates grasping the slider and is easy to manufacture by die casting.

Sliders for reclosable containers

A reclosable fastener tape includes a first fastener strip and a second fastener strip that is adapted to mate with the first fastener strip in a reclosable fashion. A sheet connects the first fastener strip to the second fastener strip. The sheet has an unpunctured tear line formed between the first fastener strip and the second fastener strip for providing a tamper evident hermetic seal when the fastener tape is sealed with a bag.

Scored tamper evident fastener tape

Both apparatus and methods for flexible recloseable containers with peel seals are disclosed. In one embodiment, the peel seal has a height greater than the height of the fastener strip flange to which it is attached. The upper portion of the peel seal is attached to the flange. The lower portion of peel seal is attached to a wall of the container. Also disclosed are methods for fabricating containers, and also for forming, filling, sealing a container with a product therein.

Peel seal tamper evident slider bag

A reclosable container with a slider arranged to open and close interlockable profiles on the mouth of the container. The profiles are fixed together at one end but are separable at the other end to allow a gusset to fold outwardly to form a pour spout.

Pouch with spout

A single use container comprises a slider having first and second closable profiles having an adhesive or epoxy disposed thereon. The profiles are configured, for example, to prevent premature closing and bonding.

Single use container

A plastic film bag includes a reclosable closure which is opened and closed by a slider. The bag includes a tamper evident sheet closing off the bag mouth. Alternatively the tamper evident means consists of a hood which encloses the slider and reclosable closure.

Tamper evident zipper slider

A plastic bag closer slider has a separator normally resting in notches in the tops of slider track strips, when the slider is at a bag-closed stop. As the slider is moved in the bag-opening direction, the separator is cammed downward by ends of the notches to disengage interlocking profile features and open the tag. In another embodiment, notches are omitted. The separator is manufactured with a normally down position but is resiliently biased upward when the bag is closed. As the slider is moved in the bag-opening direction, the pointed end of the separator wedge descends between the strips to open the bag. When the slider is moved in the bag-closing direction, the separator is cammed upward by the drag of the strip tops and the tapering walls of the slider squeeze interlocking profile features together, closing the bag.

Zipper slider pivoting wedge

A method and apparatus for forming a resealable tubular form fill package is provided. A supply of thin thermoplastic film is continuously fed over a filling spout and formed into a tubular shape by bringing the lateral edges of the film together in an abutting face-to-face relationship. The faces of the edges are brought together at a seal location to form a fin seal. A supply of zipper closure is continuously fed adjacent the film material and adhered to the film. The film and the zipper closure are sealed and cut to produce a form fill package having a zipper closure. The zipper closure and film may be cut and sealed simultaneously.
