A circuit mounting assembly can include a circuit board, a chassis, a sheet of thermally conductive dielectric material, and one or more fasteners configured to compress the sheet between the circuit board and the chassis to provide vibration isolation and electrical isolation between the chassis and the circuit board, and to provide thermal conduction between the chassis and the circuit board.

Circuit mounting assemblies

A power feeder device can include a base having a mounting portion and a plurality of connector structures extending from the mounting portion and spaced apart relative to each other to form a respective gap therebetween. Each connector structure can be configured to receive a respective pair of terminals to electrically connect the respective pair of terminals within connector structures and to block a line of sight between an adjacent pair of terminals. The device can also include a cover configured to mate with the base to enclose each of the plurality of connector structures and to increase a length of a creepage path between each pair of terminals by at least partially inserting into each gap between the connector structures. The base and the cover can be configured to form a terminal opening on each lateral side when assembled to allow pass-through of a conductor and/or portion of each terminal.

Power feeder connector devices

A connector for an electrical assembly includes an electrically conductive connector tab extending from a first electrical component, and a spring element wrapped around the connector tab. An electrically conductive connector slot is located at a second electrical component. The connector tab is configured for insertion into the connector slot such that the spring element is compressed between the connector tab and the connector slot defining an electrically conductive path between the connector tab and the connector slot.

Circuit board with high power interconnect conductive coil

A fuse includes a housing. A bus bar extends through the housing. An arc interrupter positioned inside the housing. A biasing element is compressed between the housing and the arc interrupter to bias the arc interrupter toward the bus bar to separate two portions of the bus bar during circuit interruption to mitigate arcing from one portion of the bus bar to the other portion of the bus bar. The bus bar includes a pocket defined therein wherein the bus bar is of a first material, and wherein a second material is seated within the pocket. In another aspect, a fuse includes a fuse housing and a bus bar extending through the housing. The bus bar includes a pocket defined therein. The bus bar is of a first material, wherein a second material is seated within the pocket.

High voltage high current fuse with arc interrupter

A circuit card assembly for a vehicle chassis is provided. The circuit card assembly may include a circuit card unit, a wedge-lock retainer unit, and a support bracket. The circuit card unit has a printed circuit board (PCB) defining a first fastener aperture. The wedge-lock retainer unit may define a second fastener aperture. The support bracket includes first and second elements. The first element may define a third fastener aperture and the second element may define a fourth fastener aperture. The PCB, the wedge-lock retainer unit, and the support bracket may be arranged with one another such that the first fastener aperture, the second fastener aperture, and the third fastener aperture are aligned with one another and such that the fourth aperture is oriented in alignment with a chassis aperture of a chassis.

Vehicle circuit card assembly

A system includes a first bus bar. A foil element is spaced apart from the first bus bar. The foil element is electrically connected to the first bus bar by grid elements. A second bus bar is spaced apart from the foil element across a dielectric layer. The system can include a second foil element spaced apart from the second bus bar.

Laminated bus bars

A bussing connector is provided and includes bus bar connections, output elements and dielectric material. The bus bar connections each include an output section and an input section. The input sections cooperatively form a multiphase alternating current (AC) input. The output elements are arranged along and in electrical communication with the output sections of each of the bus bar connections. The dielectric material is configured to partially surround and partially electrically insulate the input and output sections and the output elements of each of the bus bar connections. The dielectric material is further configured to expose the multiphase AC input and portions of each of the outlet elements of each of the bus bar connections.

Alternating current bussing connector

A method for fabricating a circuit board apparatus includes providing a circuit board that has a socket with at least one plated through-hole and providing a connector that has a housing with first and second connector interfaces that have, respectively, at least first and second connector contacts. The first connector interface opens into an interior of the housing such that there is a vapor path through the first connector interface and interior of the housing to the second connector contact at the second connector interface. The first connector contact is inserted through the resilient seal and into the plated through-hole such that the resilient seal intimately seals around the first connector contact to provide a barrier at the first connector interface into the vapor path.

A bus bar for a printed wiring board assembly has a distribution portion and a supply portion. The supply portion has a socket contact that is in electrical communication with the distribution portion without an intervening joint portion to limit electrical resistance between a supply plug seated in the socket contact and the distribution portion of the bus bar. Printed wiring board assemblies, power distribution assemblies, and methods of making printed distribution assemblies are also described.

A system for protecting electronics includes a printed wiring assembly (PWA) having a surface with at least one electronic component. The system also includes a water resistant film configured to be used as a conformal coating on the PWA and further configured to be placed on the surface of the PWA and to shrink about the at least one electronic component.

A pressure and/or temperature relief header for use in an HVAC heat transfer coil includes a main body adapted to be secured to bends in fluid coils of the HVAC fluid tube system. The main body includes holes in alignment with holes formed in the bends to enable liquid to pass from the bends into the expansion relief header. The expansion relief headers include a pressure release valve that automatically opens, preferably in response to pressure exceeding a predetermined threshold value or temperature falling below a predetermined value, to release liquid from the expansion relief header and then reseats. A discharge housing collects liquid released through the pressure release valve. A sensor detects the presence of liquid in the discharge housing.

Freeze protection system with drainage control for heat transfer coils in HVAC systems

A method of containing arc faults in a power distribution unit includes in response to a bus bar temperature exceeding a bus bar temperature threshold, thermally opening a conductive element extending between an energizing coil of a contactor, a bus bar, and a controller. The controller is configured to selectively open and close the contactor. The conductive element is electrically connected to the energizing coil of the contactor and the controller. The conductive element is electrically isolated from a power source electrically connected to the first bus bar through the contactor.

Power distribution unit and method of containing arc faults in power distribution units

A chassis to receive a line replaceable module including a molded body formed from a composite material, a card guide integrally formed in the molded body to receive the line replaceable module, the card guide including a card guide wall integrally formed in the molded body and extending outwardly from the molded body, and a plurality of tolerance features disposed within the card guide to retain the line replaceable module.

A circuit board has a socket with at least one plated through-hole. A connector includes a housing that has first and second connector interfaces with, respectively, at least first and second connector contacts. The first connector interface opens into an interior of the housing such that there is a vapor path through the first connector interface and the interior of the housing to the second connector contact at the second connector interface. A resilient seal is located at the first connector interface. The first connector contact extends through the resilient seal and into the plated through-hole. The resilient seal intimately seals around the first connector contact and provides a barrier at the first connector interface into the vapor path.

An expansion relief header and its method of operation are disclosed for use in an HVAC heat transfer coil. The expansion relief header includes a main body adapted to be secured to bends in fluid coils of the HVAC fluid tube system. The main body includes holes in alignment with holes formed in the bends to enable fluid to pass from the bends into the expansion relief header. The expansion relief headers include one or more relief devices, such as valves, that automatically open, preferably in response to pressure exceeding a predetermined threshold value or temperature falling below a predetermined value, to release fluid from the expansion relief header and then reseat themselves.
