According to embodiments of the present invention, there is provided a method and system for operating an injection molding machine. For example, a molding system () to manufacture a molded article () in a mold-cavity system () by using a molding material () is provided. The system () including pressure-control system () coupled with the system (); and controller () operatively coupling to system (), controller () having controller-usable memory () tangibly embodying set of controller-executable instructions () to direct controller (), including mold-unpack instructions (), including instructing controller () to control system () to reduce, after solidification, at least in part, of material () being located in a nub region () of system (), internal pressure of material () received in system () while system () remains isolated from stream of flowable-molding material, beyond any reduction of internal pressure in material () resulting from cooling of material (), so that reduction in internal pressure of material () is enough to permit safe opening of system () while permitting safe extraction of article ().

According to embodiments of the present invention, there is provided an air dehumidifying sub-system and a method for use in a molding system. For example, the air source device for use with a post-mold treatment device for treating a molded article, the air source device comprising: an air inlet and a refrigerating unit operatively coupled to the air inlet, the refrigerating unit and the air inlet arranged such that air is forced between the air inlet and the refrigerating unit for cooling the air; an air outlet coupled to the refrigerating unit for connecting the refrigerating unit to an air management device of the post-mold treatment device, the air management device configured to direct, in use, cooled air onto a portion of the molded article being treated.

Air source device and a method for use in a molding system

A method of manufacturing overshoes made from an elongated rectangular flexible sheet of material. The method comprises the following steps: (a) gathering the sheet material by parallel stitching two elastic strips on the opposite side edge portions respectively of the sheet; (b) folding the sheet in two along its longitudinal center line, so as to bring the two gathered side edge portions in respective abutting register; (c) with an ultrasonic press, weakening narrow sections of the sheet transversely to the axis of the longitudinal center line, at regular intervals, and concurrently cross-bonding the sheet along both edge portions defined by each one of the weakened narrow sections of the sheet; and (d) detaching the desired segment of sheet of material along the line of bonding, for any one overshoe. Also, the products obtained by the above-described method.

Method of manufacturing overshoes

A climbing rung for anchoring to the wall of a manhole shaft. The climbing rung has a generally U-shaped core of two parallel legs spaced apart by a central tread. Each leg is sheathed in a pre-formed protective sleeve, closed at one end, by inserting the leg into the mouth of the sleeve. An injection moulded protective coating is bonded to the core of the tread and the core of each leg, extending to proximate the mouth of each pre-formed sleeve when a leg is sheathed therein, forming a sealing interface proximate the annular lip circumferentially defining the mouth of each sleeve. A method includes gripping the climbing rung only proximate the pre-formed protective sleeves when both legs are sheathed therein, so as to permit positioning the core of the tread and legs, extending only to proximate the mouth of each pre-formed protective sleeve, in an injection moulded cavity radially spaced equidistant the surface of the mould cavity. Advantageously, positioning pins inside the injection mould cavity for radially spacing the core of the climbing rung from the surface of the mould cavity are thereby not required. The method also includes alternatively gripping at least two oppositely spaced portions of the core of the climbing rung and alternately coating the portion of the climbing rung opposite the end which is being gripped.

Process for making encapsulated anchor rung

A climbing rung is provied for anchoring to the wall of a manhole shaft. The climbing rung has a generally U-shaped core of two parallel legs spaced apart by a central tread. Each leg is sheathed in a pre-formed protective sleeve, closed at one end, by inserting the leg into the mounth of the sleeve. An injection moulded protective coating is bonded to the core of the tread and the core of each leg, extending to proximate the mouth of each pre-formed sleeve when a leg is sheathed therein, forming a sealing interface proximate the annular lip circumferentially defining the mouth of each sleeve. A method is provided including the steps of gripping the climbing rung only proximate the pre-formed protective sleeves when both legs are sheathed therein, so as to permit positioning the core of the tread and legs, extending only to proximate the mouth of each pre-formed protective sleeve, in an injection moulded cavity radially spaced equidistant the surface of the mould cavity. Advantageously, positioning pins inside the injection mould cavity for radially spacing the core of the climbing rung from the surface of the mould cavity are thereby not required. In another aspect of the invention it is not necessary to grip the step using pre-formed protective sleeves--all that is necessary is to alternately grip at last two oppositely spaced portions of the core of the climbing rung; alternately coating the portion of the climbing rung opposite the end which is being gripped.
