A hinge for mounting a door to an enclosure includes a first leaf, a second leaf, and a pin. The first leaf includes a first tongue attached to a surface formed on one of the door or the enclosure, and a first knuckle depending from the first tongue. The first knuckle includes a tab depending therefrom, and the tab extends through an aperture in a flange depending from the surface. The second leaf includes a second tongue coupled to another of the door or the enclosure, and a second knuckle coupled to the second tongue. The pin extends through the first and second knuckles. A method of assembling a hinge to a door includes: extending a portion of the hinge within an aperture in the door; applying a magnetic force to the portion of the hinge to secure the portion of the hinge within the aperture; and securing the hinge to the door with a fastener while applying the magnetic force.

Door hinge with positioning feature and method

A fastener designed to press into two slots of a barrier and become captivated with spring tension barbs is disclosed. The fastener thus allows two vertical barriers to be fastened together by driving a screw through a first barrier, a second barrier, and then the fastener, to compress the barriers in place during assembly. The fastener may be provided with a nut holding cage with caged nut or a pair of thread engaging flanges to secure the screw to the fastener.

Snap-in fastener

A door hinge assembly for use in an electrical appliance cabinet includes a door hinge member having a door plate attached to one side of an elbow, a hinge pin sleeve attached to the opposite side of the elbow, and a flange extending upwardly from the elbow. A hinge pin is removably engageable with the hinge pin sleeve, which is further removably engageable with a top edge on the flange.

Door hinge assembly for an electrical appliance enclosure

In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a machine for shaping a bus bar comprises a first retaining device, a second retaining device, a twisting device and an offset mechanism. The first retaining device is arranged to secure a first section of the bus bar in a first plane. The second retaining device is arranged to secure a second section of the bus bar. The twisting device is connected to the second retaining device and rotates the second retaining device to twist the second section of the bus bar about a longitudinal axis of the bus bar positioning the bus bar in a second plane. The offset mechanism is connected to the first retaining device and is arranged to offset the second section of the bus bar in a third plane, the third plane generally parallel to the second plane.

Machine for manufacturing twisted and offset electrical conductors

A panelboard/switchboard assembly for accommodating bolt-on modules, plug-in modules and lugs. The panelboard/switchboard includes vertical, edge forward bus bars having a plurality of openings formed therein. The edge forward alignment allows plug-in modules to be mounted to the bus bars. The openings in the bus bars receive bolts for mounting straps to the bus bars and for mounting lugs to the bus bars. The openings have a shape having at least one linear element and receive a bolt having an anti-rotation portion with a similar shape. The interference between the opening and the anti-rotation portion of the bolt prevents the straps, and the modules connected to the straps, from rotating.
