A housing assembly includes a housing, a printed circuit board (PCB) contained in a housing, and a cup-shaped cap having an interior and a flange portion. A tall component extending from the PCB is covered by the cap such that the tall component is disposed in the interior of the cap and the flange portion of the cap engages the PCB. A vacuum is applied and while maintaining the vacuum, an encapsulant is introduced into the housing to a level so as to cover the PCB and certain other components not the relatively taller component(s). When the vacuum is released, a pressure differential between the environmental pressure and the vacuum remaining in the cap interior forces encapsulant into the cap interior to a level higher than that outside of the cap. A multi-level height potting process is achieved.

A relay is provided that has a base, connecting elements, a magnet system with a coil, a core arranged within the coil, an L-shaped yoke, and a plate-shaped armature, wherein the axis of the coil extends parallel to the first yoke leg, and a second yoke leg is connected to the first end of the core farthest from the base, and wherein the armature is pivoted on the first yoke leg and forms a working air gap with a second end of the core facing the base. A contact system has a contact spring that is fastened to the armature and carries a movable contact, and at least one fixed contact carrier that carries a fixed contact and is anchored in the base. The open end of the first yoke leg is supported on the upper surface of the base with two fork-shaped end sections, while the open end of the second yoke leg is likewise supported on the upper surface of the base by a yoke support parallel to the first yoke leg. The armature is pivoted on a pivot edge formed between the two end sections of the first yoke leg and is fastened to the outer side of the first yoke leg facing away from the coil via a return spring which engages between the end sections.

Electromagnetic relay

An electric motor and method for reducing or eliminating end play. The motor comprises an adjustment member that cooperates with an end lamina member to facilitate reducing end play. The adjustment member is slidably mounted on an armature shaft and inside an aperture of a portion of the end lamina tube to reduce or eliminate end play. Thereafter, the adjustment member is permanently secured to the end lamina tube. In another illustrative embodiment, the movable bearing retainer sets endplay and also retains brushes in an open position prior to, for example, assembly of the motor.

Electric motor and method for reducing end play

An electric motor includes a housing having a bushing mounted at a first end about a shaft extending through the housing. A lubricant recirculation member formed of a one-piece assembly of unitarily joined oil throw and vibration dampening material portions is fixedly mounted on the shaft between a commutator and the bushing. The lubricant recirculation member recirculates lubricant from the bushing back toward the bushing and away from the commutator and provides a vibration dampening layer between the bushing and the commutator.
