Systems, methods, and computer-readable media, for utilizing device motions to manipulate a display screen feature. One or more motion data that indicate a motion of a device are referenced. Upon referencing motion data, manipulations to apply to a display screen feature are identified. Thereafter, the display screen feature is manipulated in accordance with the one or more manipulations identified.

Utilizing motion of a device to manipulate a display screen feature

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media, for applying a navigational mode to a device based on one or more state indicators is provided. One or more state indicators are obtained. The state indicators indicate the state of a navigational mode selector. Such a navigational mode selector may be utilized to alter the navigational mode applied to a device. Thereafter, the state indicators are associated with a navigational mode. Upon associating the state indicators with a navigational mode, the navigational mode is applied to a device so that a display screen feature may be effectively manipulated.

Applying a navigational mode to a device

A mechanism is disclosed for engaging in interactive photo gaming with user ratification. The mechanism can be used to provide a picture-tag game or other games. In a picture-tag game, for instance, a user designated as 'IT' tags another user by capturing a photo of the other user. The photo is then transmitted to a game host, which distributes it to the participating players' devices. Upon receipt of the photo, a device presents the photo and prompts a user to acknowledge that the photo represents the user, i.e., that the user has been tagged. The device then sends the acknowledgement to the game host, and the game host notifies the players who is now designated as IT.
