An inking system of a printing press includes an impression cylinder for guiding a printing substrate, and at least one ink-transfer roller. The ink-transfer roller includes a cylinder mandrel, on which at least one cylinder sleeve is concentrically displaceable, and bearing blocks, in which ends of the ink-transfer roller are mounted and which are independently displaceable in the radial direction of the impression cylinder. The ink-transfer roller can be set against the impression cylinder or any other ink-transfer roller, with a bearing block being detachable from one end of the ink-transfer roller and displaceable relative to the ink-transfer roller so that the cylinder sleeve can be removed via this one end. A stop device, with which the cylinder sleeve can be brought into contact, has components that are movable in the axial direction of the print roller. The movable stop device components can be decelerated via a force-providing element.

Inking unit of a printing machine

A changing station for sleeves of a printing machine has a conveyable magazine with at least one take-up device for the sleeves. The magazine is both vertically and horizontally conveyable alongside the printing machine. The horizontal movement can be provided by a rail, and the vertical movement can be provided by a crane or hoist.

The bearings of a printing roller of a printing machine, preferably of a flexoprinting machine, with at least one counter-pressure cylinder and with at least one printing roller, which on one end is taper bore mounted in the frame, are conveyable in guideways relative to the counter-pressure cylinder. A bearing is provided for underpropping the shaft extension of the free end of the printing roller. In order to be able to slide the enveloping sleeve off and/or the adapter sleeve off of the printing roller in a simple manner, two shafts are mounted to be longitudinally displaceable and rotatable in the bearing block in which the printing roller is taper bore mounted, parallel to the center line of the printing roller, said shafts carrying on their inner ends, which are oriented toward the printing roller, radial arms with end face thrust pieces. The shafts are rotatably mounted on their outer ends in a carrier bracket and are provided with a rotary drive. The carrier bracket is provided with a drive that makes it conveyable relative to the bearing block.

Printing machine

A spindle-nut combination for applying a roller to a counterbearing moved essentially at the circumferential speed of the roller. In order to be able to adjust the play of the spindle in a simple manner, an additional nut is associated with, and displaceable against the spindle nut. Both nuts mesh with the thread of the spindle. An additional securable nut is also provided to brace against the additional nut and prevent undesired turning thereof.

A bearing holder for bearings mounted on journals includes a lower support socket secured to a frame, and a cover part pivotally connected with the socket. The cover part is able to be locked in a shut position, folded onto the bearing positioned in the support socket. In order to provide a bearing holder of this type, which makes possible the removal and insertion of the journals without releasing the cover parts by hand, and without having to be pivoted and locked for the purpose of opening and shutting, cover parts are pivotally bearinged on two upper lateral parts of the support socket about axes which are parallel to the journal. Such cover parts include an upper, longer arm and a lower, shorter arm of a two-armed lever. The lower arm forms an actuating part, which, in the folded back, opened position of the cover part, extends into the interior of the support socket, so that by lowering the bearing, which abuts against the same and is placed on the journals, into the support socket, the bearing pivots the cover parts into its shut position, in which the latter has its inner, arcuate sides in snug engagement with the bearing. Thus, the cover parts which, in this manner, are folded into their shut setting, and have their end faces abutting against each other, are provided with an automatic device locking the cover parts together.

Bearing holder for bearings mounted on journals

A printing machine, such as a flexographic printing machine has a plurality of inking units and a plurality of plate cylinders. A central gear drives an impression cylinder and during a printing operation meshes with plate cylinder gears. The plate cylinders are mounted on plate cylinder carriages on tracks included in the machine frame and which are movable towards the impression cylinder for a printing operation. Halftone ink roller gears are associated with halftone rollers of the inking units and mesh with the plate cylinder gears. The halftone rollers are movable on inking unit carriages on tracks on the plate cylinder carriages. The teeth of the central gear are to be aligned with the teeth of the plate cylinder gears when the latter teeth are moved to pushed-in positions. The plate cylinder gears are provided with datum marks with which sensors fixed to the inking carriage cooperate so that the plate cylinders can be aligned for printing in register. To ensure that an adjustment for printing in register can be effected with high accuracy, without errors and without a need for manual work, each plate cylinder gear is equipped with a servomotor which rotates the plate cylinder gear to a position in which the respective sensor detects the respective datum mark.
