The present disclosure relates to a seal, such as a gasket, for sealing a gap in a housing, said gap extending around an inner chamber of the housing, and thus for sealing the inner chamber from an exterior of the housing, comprising at least one sealing layer. The present disclosure further relates to a frame seal that provides sealing between at least two components of the housing, for example a bottom part and a top part of the housing, for example of a motor vehicle battery housing or motor vehicle battery box housing.

A heat exchanger with a multi-zone heat transfer surface is disclosed. The heat exchanger includes a fluid flow passage extending between and interconnecting a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. A heat transfer surface is disposed within the fluid flow passage wherein the heat transfer surface includes at least one heat transfer-reducing zone disposed in thermal contact with a portion of at least one of the walls of the fluid flow passage and at least one heat transfer-augmenting zone disposed in thermal contact with a portion of the at least one of the walls of the fluid flow passage. The configuration of the heat transfer-augmenting zones with the heat-transfer-reducing zones is such that heat transfer across the surface of the heat exchanger in contact with the heat transfer-augmenting zones is increased relative to the heat transfer across the surface of the heat exchanger in contact with the heat transfer-reducing zones.

A housing cover and a housing are disclosed, which may be used in automotive vehicle construction. There, they serve for example for the purpose of offering protection to a sensitive component or to a group of components, for example a traction battery in the electric car, and, conversely, of protecting the environment from the component or the group of components or for example from electromagnetic radiation emanating from the component.

Transmission control devices may have two control boxes, and a planar transmission control plate disposed between the two control boxes. The transmission control plate seals the intermediate space between the two control boxes or the channel portions and borings thereof in the form of a flat gasket. The plate also makes available throughflow-openings between channels or borings in the control boxes for a fluid, the fluid in the channels controlling the function of a transmission. The sealing function is achieved by embossed beads and/or partial coatings.

Transmission control device

A transmission control device has two mutually oppositely arranged counter-components, for example control boxes, and a planar transmission control plate, which is arranged between the two counter-components. The transmission control plate seals the clearance between the two counter-components or their channel portions and bores in the form of a flat seal. The plate also provides through-openings between channels or bores, respectively, in the opposing counter-components, where the fluid in the channels controls the function of a transmission. The sealing function is realized by stamped beads and/or partial coatings. Transmission control plates therefore have fluid through-flow openings so the fluid can flow through from one side of the plate to the other side of the plate. Additional functional elements can be present in the through-flow openings, for example valve elements which stop the through-flow in one direction or combined valve-orifice elements, which restrict the through-flow in one or both directions.

A flat gasket with at least one extended carrier layer is described. Such flat gaskets are for instance used as transmission plates or also as cylinder head gaskets. They are also used in the area of the exhaust line of a combustion engine. The at least one extended carrier layer has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The layer also has a passage opening for a fluid which penetrates the carrier layer. The circumferential edge of each of the two surfaces has one or several projections which encircle the passage opening at least in sections and protrude into the passage opening. A functional element is arranged in the passage opening, which is held by the one or several projections in the passage opening.

The present invention relates to a control plate as it is for instance used in pneumatic or hydraulic controls. An example of such a control plate is a transmission control plate with which automatic transmissions are controlled hydraulically.

The present invention relates to a flat gasket with filter elements. In order to fulfill the increased requirements with respect to cleanliness, there is an increased demand for the integration of filter elements in flat gaskets. The corresponding filter elements mainly serve for picking of impurities accrued during production as well as other residues circulate via the operational fluids, especially during the initial period of operation of an internal combustion engine or a vehicle.
