To facilitate a reliable detection of age-related damage or delamination on components the following is proposed: [i] within the scope of radiofrequency reflectometry, scanning a component by radiofrequency signal irradiation in the micrometer or millimeter wavelength range and by measuring at least one reflection signal, which was reflected at the component, in punctiform, one-dimensional or two-dimensional fashion for the purposes of generating at least one first radiofrequency image representation; [ii] scanning the component in direct time offset fashion with respect to the radiofrequency signal irradiation by a combination of ultrasonic signal irradiation and the radiofrequency signal irradiation in the micrometer or millimeter wavelength range and by measuring at least one further reflection signal, which was reflected at the component; and [iii] comparing the radiofrequency image representations generated based on the reflection signals, wherein determined changes in the radiofrequency image representations indicate damage or delamination on the component.

A method for detecting faults on an electrical line includes feeding a measurement signal to a first location on the line by using a measuring assembly, receiving a reflected measurement signal at the first location, and determining a fault location on the line on the basis of the period of time until the reflected measurement signal is received while considering a line attenuation. A reflection location on the line where the measurement signal is reflected is used, and the line attenuation is determined on the basis of the level of the reflected measurement signal received at the first location. A corresponding measuring assembly is also provided.

Method and measuring assembly for detecting faults on electrical lines

A device for radio-frequency power amplification having a switching arrangement is provided. The switching arrangement is configured to amplify, during operation, a radio-frequency input signal that is present at a signal input and has a low input power, and to provide, during continuous wave (CW) operation, a continuous output signal at an output. The switching arrangement includes at least two amplifier devices. A respective output of the at least two amplifier devices is connected to the output of the switching arrangement. Each of the amplifier devices includes at least one switching transistor. The switching transistors are not operable during CW operation without being destroyed. The at least two amplifier devices are drivable as pulse amplifiers with a temporal offset by a control device such that the pulses generated in temporal succession at the outputs of the at least two amplifier devices produce a CW signal at the output.

Radio-frequency power amplifier

An amplifier circuit for actuating a light diode is provided. The amplifier circuit may have a small output impedance of approximately 3 Ohms, a large bandwidth having a lower threshold frequency of 200 kHz and an upper threshold frequency of 5 MHz, for example, and an amplitude of the output current of several 100 mA, for example. The amplifier circuit may have an entry stage for actuating a driver circuit that actuates the light diode by means of a direct current supply.
