In the print data for a nozzle of a printer, white dots are replaced by pre-ejection pulses. One or more repetitions of the pre-ejection pulses may be inserted into the print data, depending on the actual print speed of the printer, to determine print speed-dependent print data with which the nozzle is activated to print a print image with high print quality.

Printing device and method for determining print speed-dependent print data for the operation of a nozzle

In a method for printing recording media successively supplied to a printing unit, and wherein a sheet gap is provided from a preceding recording medium, document print data are subjected to a rastering process. A predetermined nominal number of lines is respectively provided for the document print data of a page. The raster print data are successively stored line by line in a print data memory region of an electronic memory. A blank line memory region for a blank line that is not to be filled with print data is provided in the memory. The raster print data are successively read out per line from the print data memory region of the memory and are supplied to the printing unit. After the read out of the nominal number of lines from the print data memory region, the blank line memory region is then read out a number of times, said number of times being a whole number greater than or equal to zero and being dependent on the sheet gap.

Printing method and printing apparatus

In a method or apparatus for controlling a printing process in an inkjet printing apparatus that has multiple print heads, a line scan is generated to print a print line on a recording material. The individual print heads are individually controlled with an offset relative to the line scan to eject printing ink, print data prepared for the printing being stored in a memory device upstream of the print heads. Print data units to be printed by the print heads are transferred from the memory device to the respective print heads in a same order with which they are printed. The order with which the print data units are transferred is controlled by request commands entered into a FIFO memory, each request command identifying a print head in the order of the transfer of the print data units corresponds to an order of the request commands in the FIFO memory.

Method to control a printing process in an inkjet printing apparatus, and printing apparatus to execute such a method

In a method and a device to sort pixel data in a print data stream, a data sorting memory is used configured so that it can be written per column and read per row. The pixel data are entered per column into the data sorting memory in the order of the incoming print data stream. Via the per-row readout the pixel data are re-sorted into an order suitable to control the print head. The sorting can thereby take place in only one write process and one read process.

Method and device to sort pixel data in a print data stream

A parallel databus assembly and method includes modules connected to parallel signal lines, each of the modules having a databus driver being in immediate connection with the signal lines and a controller connected to the databus driver. At least some of the parallel signal lines are data lines for transmitting data or control lines for controlling the data transmission of the data via the data lines. A clock generator for generating a bus frequency with which the signals transmitted in the signal lines are clocked is connected to the databus drivers. The databus drivers are fashioned such that the signals to be transmitted from and to the data lines and the control lines are accepted during a clock pulse prescribed by the clock generator and are emitted during a following clock pulse.

Databus and method for the communication of two assemblies by means of such a databus

An electronic control device with a parallel databus and a plurality of assemblies connected to the databus. The assemblies each include a processor and a memory device and are connected to the databus with a bus controller. The data are transmitted between a transmitter assembly and a receiver assembly with messages. The data bus essentially corresponds to the MULTIBUS II. The bus controller of the transmitter assembly is fashioned such that, without making use of the processor of the transmitter assembly, it reads data stored in the memory device of the transmitter assembly in response to a request message of the receiver assembly and sends them to the receiver assembly.
