A single hull or doubled hull boat manufactured from stretch formed aluminum alloy. Alloys of the AA 6000 series alloys are particularly suited for forming of small to medium sized water vessels.

Boat manufactured from formable aluminum

A powerboat has a hull, keel, a transom, sidewalls, and a gunwale. The hull has at least one stringer on each side of the keel. An upwardly generally transversely oriented elongated structural member is secured to the transom. A lower generally transversely oriented structural member is secured to the transom in generally underlying relationship with respect to the upper generally transversely oriented structural member. At least one generally vertically oriented structural member is secured to the upper and lower transversely oriented structural members. The upper transversely oriented structural member serves to transfer a load from the transom to the gunwales. The lower transversely oriented structural member serves to transfer load from the transom to the keel and stringers. The powerboat may be a performance boat having the hull composed of outer and inner layers of aluminum skin with an interposed resinous foam material or a single plate.

Reinforced powerboat construction

The present invention is directed to the enabling formability of the 6000 series alloys for the manufacture of small to medium sized water vessels.

A plurality of inlet and outlet channels for receiving and exhausting respectively the flow of a heat exchange medium directed to the inlet channels are located adjacent a plate provided with generally parallel, elongated orifices extending in the direction of and in registration with the inlet and outlet channels. A heat exchange panel is disposed adjacent the plate on the side thereof opposite that of the channels such that the medium entering the input channels travels through the orifices of the plate to the heat exchange panel and then from the panel to and through the outlet channels.

Air heat exchanger

A plenum in combination with a heat exchange panel and a panel structure having a large number of closely spaced orifices of equal size. The plenum area relative to that of the orifice area is such that a pressure head in the plenum is maintained to provide a constant flow of heat exchange medium from the plenum through the orifices to the heat exchange panel.

Isothermal panel and plenum

A mount for connecting a satellite television antenna to a pipe mast. The mount includes a support assembly of a linear upright member and a cross member which are adapted for attachment to a peripheral portion of a parabolic dish antenna and a fitting attached to a lower end of the upright member which connects with a pipe mast so as to enable or prevent rotation of the support assembly with respect to the mast axis and to enable or prevent varying the angle of inclination of the upright member with respect to vertical.

Mount for supporting a parabolic antenna

A container construction and combination in which a container for confining water or other fluid to be heated is provided with a metal heat exchanger disposed within the container. The heat exchanger is comprised of a single wall tube structure having outwardly directed fins extending in a vertical direction within the container. Means are provided for connecting an upper end of the heat exchanger to a source of heated refrigerant through an upper opening provided in a side wall of the container, the refrigerant being vaporized when heated, and condensed when cooled in the heat exchanger. The disposition of the heat exchanger permits the force of gravity to remove condensed refrigerant from the heat exchanger. Means are provided for returning condensed refrigerant to the source of heated refrigerant from a lower end of the heat exchanger and through a lower opening in the side wall of the container. And means are provided to free the combination of galvanic action when a fluid to be heated is present in the container.

Water heating system

A container construction and combination in which a container for confining water is provided with a metal heat exchanger disposed vertically within the container. The heat exchanger is comprised of inner and outer tube structures joined together in heat exchange relationship by fins extending between the tube structures, the fins having cross sections sized to conduct all the heat of a refrigerant in the inner tube structure to water located adjacent the outer tube structure. In addition, the outer tube structure has outwardly directed fins extending in a vertical direction within the container. The heat exchanger has upper and lower ends within the container, and means are provided for connecting the upper end of the heat exchanger to a source of heated refrigerant through an upper opening in the wall of the container, the refrigerant being vaporized when heated, and condensed when cooled in the heat exchanger. The vertical disposition of the heat exchanger permits the force of gravity to remove condensed refrigerant from the heat exchanger. Means are provided for returning condensed refrigerant to the source of heated refrigerant through a lower opening in the wall of the container, and means are provided to free the combination of galvanic action when water is present in the container.
