A severe storm warning system includes an atmospheric pressure sensor utilizing an air-filled chamber with a first pressure sensor mounted between the interior of the chamber and the atmosphere and being located within the chamber interior and a second pressure sensor mounted between the interior of the chamber and the atmosphere and being located outside the chamber. Both sensors are formed of multiple-plate, floating plate capacitors which are movable in response to pressure changes. Electronic circuitry periodically determines what pressure changes have occurred and compares the changes to the changes associated with a predetermined signature of the type of severe storm being determined. Indicators including alarms are provided if a known sequence of pressure changes is detected.

Severe storm warning system

A recirculating sewerage system comprising a water closet, a selectively inclined effluent receiving member including filtering media at least at the upper portion thereof, means for directing the effluent flushed from the water closet onto the top surface of the effluent receiving member proximate the uppermost portion thereof whereby the liquid portion of the flushed effluent will pass through the filtering media and the solid portion of the flushed effluent will slide down the effluent receiving member, means for collecting the portion of the flushed effluent which passes through the filtering media, means for selectively recirculating the filtrate collected in the collecting means to flush the water closet, means for selectively draining the filtrate collecting means, means for collecting the portion of the flushed effluent which slides off of the effluent receiving member, a reservoir for receiving grey water discharge from a bathing facility, means for selectively directing grey water contained in the reservoir to the filtrate collecting means, and means for directing grey water from the reservoir to the bottom portion of the effluent receiving member when the level of the grey water in the reservoir exceeds a predetermined maximum level whereby any solids which remain on the effluent receiving member will be washed therefrom into the solids collecting means.

Recirculating sewerage system

A toilet comprising a toilet bowl including a flushing manifold, a first discharge opening, and a second opening proximate the discharge opening, means for selectively closing the first discharge opening so that the discharge of the contents of the toilet bowl through the discharge opening will be prevented, means for delivering a predetermined volume of flushing medium under pressure to the toilet bowl when the dicharge opening is closed, a conduit extending between the second opening and the flushing manifold including a pump, and means for operating the pump for a selected period of time after the predetermined volume of flushing medium has been delivered to the toilet bowl.
