A method, medium and system for compensating for parallax in transparent, semi-transparent, or opaque display components of a headband, headgear, head-worn device, or helmet-mounted device. A method for compensating for parallax in an image displayed on a display of a head-worn device (HWD) may include determining locations of one or more landmarks in a geographic space relative to a location of a user of the HWD based on first information indicative of the geographic space; generating a map of the one or more landmarks in the geographic space; receiving second information indicative of the geographic space; orienting the second information indicative of the geographic space relative to the map; shifting at least a portion of first or second information indicative of the geographic space to produce modified image data; and projecting the modified image data onto the screen of the head-worn device.

Methods and systems for automatic parallax compensation for helmet mounted imaging sensors used for augmented or extended reality displays

A method, medium and system for auto-aligning displays of a head/helmet mounted display. The method, medium and system may provide for an auto-alignment of components of a headband, headgear, or a helmet. The method, medium and system may provide for a first sensor mounted to the helmet of a user and configured to communicate and transfer align with a vehicle comprising an inertial navigation system (INS). The method, medium and system may provide for display comprising a second sensor configured to communicate with the first sensor and transfer align the second sensor with the first sensor based on the transfer alignment of the first sensor with the vehicle. The method, medium and system may provide for wherein the first sensor and the second sensor comprise an inertial measurement unit (IMU). Further, the method, medium and system may also provide for the aligning of two displays on the head/helmet relative to each other in real time.

Methods and systems for auto-alignment of displays

The present disclosure relates generally to a system and method for monitoring a display output of a graphics processing unit ('GPU'), and more particularly, to monitoring safety critical symbols of a commercial off the shelf ('COTS') GPU to ensure a high level of accuracy of the display output to be displayed to a user. The generated display output signal of the COTS GPU may be encoded with specific reference points within a generated image, and compared to a predicted image for the monitoring device having corresponding specific reference points. By having specific reference points in the encoded display output signal of the COTS GPU, the monitoring device may significantly reduce processing and throughput but focusing the comparison on only the specific encoded reference points and thereby confirming the accuracy of the COTS GPU.

A helmet mounted display (HMD) system comprising (i) a display device adapted to be positioned between an eye of a person wearing the helmet and a vision-related device; and (ii) a step-in visor which is positioned between the eye of the user and the display device. A system for aligning a plurality of high-precision lenses in a lens train. Each of the lenses has at least two alignment tabs disposed around the perimeter of the lens. The lenses are aligned by placing the lenses in a jig having a plurality of high-precision alignment blocks.
