A method of preparing a universal base composition disclosed which consists of milling a pigment in a resin that is soluble in both water and organic solvent and wherein the resin contains both hydrophobic and hydrophilic monomers such that the total weight of the hydrophobic and hydrophilic monomers is at least about 20% of the total weight of the resin and the weight ratio of hydrophobic monomers to hydrophilic monomers is from about 1/5 to about 5.

A method is described to induce primate embryonic stem cells to differentiate into a relatively homogenous population of endothelial cells. The ES derived endothelial cells have the general morphological and cell surface marker characteristics of endothelial cells. The ES derived endothelial cells also are capable of inducing and participating in blood vessel formation (or vascularization) when transplanted into tissue in vivo.

Endothelial cells derived from primate embryonic stem cells

Solid, solvent-free inks are provided for use in hot melt flexographic printing. The ink is composed of a pigment; a thermoplastic binder which is an ethylene copolymer, a hydrocarbon resin, or a combination thereof; a wax which is a highly branched hydrocarbon wax, a polyethylene homopolymer wax, an oxidized polyethylene wax, an animal wax, a vegetable wax or combinations thereof; a solid linear alcohol; and, a dispersing agent. The ink may also contain a solid plasticizer. The solid ink has a melting point of about 75&#xb0; C. or greater, and when heated to a temperature between about 90&#xb0; C. and about 135&#xb0; C., a molten ink is formed which has a viscosity between about 100 cps and about 1200 cps. The solid inks are used in melt flexographic printing by heating the ink to a temperature greater than about 90&#xb0; C. to form a molten ink which has a viscosity between about 100 cps and about 1200 cps; applying the molten ink to the surface of a heated anilox roller in operational contact with a heated flexographic printing plate; and printing the applied molten ink from the printing plate onto a substrate such as conventional print stock, polymeric films, metal sheets, etc.

Hot melt flexographic inks and method of preparing same

Disclosed is a polyurethane resin having a number average molecular weight of up to 5,000 which is prepared by reacting a diisocyanate compound with at least one monomer diol compound and optionally a polymer diol compound without a chain extender to form a polymer, wherein the molar ratio of the monomer diol compound over the polymer diol compound when present is above 1 followed by capping the polymer with a terminator.

Combined sawhorse and tool tray

A sawhorse having a tool tray with a storage space for holding tools and four legs that are attached to the tool tray. The handle of the tool tray is the working surface of the sawhorse and the legs raise the handle to the desired height above the floor. The four legs are removable from the tray to facilitate transportation of the sawhorse. A wide flat surface is provided on the top of the handle that allows the balancing and clamping of a work piece horizontally on the sawhorse. The ends of the handle are flush with the outer surfaces of the legs. The legs are bolted to the outside of the tool tray vertical to the ground allowing the placement and clamping of a work piece to the sawhorse ends vertical to the ground.

A method for preparing a monoclonal antibody of improved cross-species specificity. The method includes the steps of preparing an inoculum antigen from a first species of animal producing the antigen and then immunizing a selected subject animal with the inoculum antigen. The method further includes the steps of fusing spleen cells from the immunized subject animal with myeloma cells to produce hybridomas. A test antigen is prepared corresponding to the inoculum antigen but derived from a second species of animal, distinct from the first species of animal from which the inoculum antigen was prepared. Hybridomas are screened for desired antibody production against the test antigen. The hybridoma producing antibodies most active against the test antigen is then cultured, and monoclonal antibodies are produced therefrom.
