Authentication method and systems using RFID-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives a request corresponding to authorization of a payment associated with a payment card from an electronic terminal. The server identifies an electronic device of a user associated with the payment card. The server then transmits an instruction to the electronic device to cause an RFID reader of the electronic device to determine whether an RFID tag corresponding to the payment card is located within a predetermined proximity to the electronic device. When the payment card is located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a first authentication protocol. Moreover, when the payment card is not located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a second authentication protocol, wherein the second authentication protocol is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

RFID-enabled payment authentication

A multi-factor authentication technique can use multiple smart devices to determine whether a person is authenticated by minimizing the extent to which the person is expected to interact with his or her smart devices. In an example multi-factor authentication method comprises performing a first determination, that a first mobile device is located within a wireless range of a device, obtaining a unique identifier from the first mobile device, sending, to a server, the unique identifier, receiving, from the server, information that indicates a first authentication technique and a second authentication technique, performing a second determination that the person is authenticated by successfully performing the first authentication technique with the first mobile device and by successfully performing the second authentication technique with the second mobile device, and performing a final authentication operation in response to performing the second determination.

Multi-factor authentication

A method and system of providing customer-specific information and guidance to support agents during calls with customers. The information includes a summary of in-app activity by the customer prior to the call between the customer and a support agent. The method includes receiving and storing the in-app activity in an activity record associated with the customer's account. The activity record is retrieved in response to a communication session being initiated or occurring between the customer and support agent and presented to the support agent in order to facilitate the conversation and expedite the resolution process.

The system identifies contextual data for each application access session and associates the contextual data with a particular in-app activity. The in-app activity corresponds to a task that is typically performed by the first user when the specific contextual data is detected. The contextual data can include location data, time and date data, and device type data.

System and method for dynamic user interface experiences

Authentication systems and methods using orientation sensor-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives an authorization request from a web server or an electronic terminal. The server then transmits an instruction to the orientation sensor to determine whether the payment card has an orientation that is consistent with a predetermined orientation. When the payment card has an orientation consistent with the predetermined orientation, the server executes a first authentication protocol. However, if the payment card has an orientation that is not consistent with the predetermined orientation, the server executes a second authentication protocol that is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

A system to identify and update expired payment cards may include servers that can perform operations including determining that a transaction performed with first payment card is denied due to expiration of the first payment card, determining that the expired first payment card is replaced with a second payment card, and sending information associated with the second payment card to a merchant payment server for performing the transaction.
