A suspension linkage for a motor vehicle includes an extruded body having a first wall and a longitudinal length. An extruded feature is disposed on the first wall of the extruded body and extends along the longitudinal length. The extruded feature has a cross-sectional profile configured to control a flexural rigidity of the suspension linkage.

A tie-down cleat includes a body having at least one stop surface and a wall with an opening, and a fastener assembly having a first retainer extending through the opening and having a head, and a second retainer operable to actuate the first retainer. The first retainer is rotatable relative to the body and includes a stop surface oriented to selectively engage the stop surface of the body to limit rotation of the first retainer relative to the body.

A releasable hood hinge assembly having a reset member, a return block, an overjump and a landing offset from the return block, the return block having a positive stop, wherein the reset member is idle in the pre-crash condition, engages the landing in the post-crash condition and is blocked by the positive stop from returning to the pre-crash condition in the post-crash operating condition.

A motor vehicle sliding door that may be supported by a pillar of the motor vehicle and having a sliding door assembly with a self-adaptive carriage. The self-adaptive carriage can allow for attachment of the door to the vehicle body at the A, B, or C pillars with reduced movement efforts and increased stability while accommodating manufacturing tolerance variation over large scale production runs.

A seat recliner assembly having a fixed gear plate having a gear portion formed therein. The gear portion is disposed about a first slot that includes a first raised collar. A movable plate having a gear portion formed therein and disposed about a second slot also includes a second raised collar. The gear portion of the movable plate is in operating engagement with the gear portion of the fixed plate and defines an annular race between an outer surface of the first raised collar and an inner surface of the second raised collar. A bearing member is disposed concentric to the inner surface of the second raised collar. First and second wedge members are disposed in the annular race and engage the bearing member. Each of the wedge members includes first and second contact features. A spring member engaging each of the wedge members biases the wedge members apart. A hub member is engaged with a drive shaft and projects through the first slot. A drive plate juxtaposed in relation to the movable plate is adapted to engage the hub member. The drive plate includes first and second engagement features to engage the first and second contact features of the first and second wedge members. Rotary motion of the drive plate causes engagement of the first engagement feature with the first contact feature followed by engagement of the second engagement feature with the second feature.
