A pharmaceutical composition for treating skin infections is described herein. A method using a pharmaceutical composition for treating skin infections is described herein. A pharmaceutical composition for treating skin infections may comprise, in 100 parts of the composition, 1-99 parts of a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient; 99-1 parts of a keratolytic; 99-1 parts ethyl pyruvate; and 99-1 parts povidone iodine. A method for treating skin infections may comprise topical application of a composition to an infected skin cell for a treatment period.

DNP was administered to mice daily over a range of doses, and subsequently BDNF expression in the brain showed a dose dependent and non-linear increase in expression.

Induced expression of brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) for treatment of neuromuscular, neurodegenerative, autoimmune, developmental and/or metabolic diseases

The composition is selected from the group consisting of 2,3-DNP, 2,4-DNP, 2,5-DNP, 2,6-DNP, 3,4-DNP, or 3,5-DNP, bipartite 2,3-dinitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrophenol, 2,5-dinitrophenol, 2,6-dinitrophenol, 3,4-dinitrophenol, or 3,5-dinitrophenol (2,3-DNP, 2,4-DNP, 2,5-DNP, 2,6-DNP, 3,4-DNP, or 3,5-DNP) prodrugs; Gemini prodrugs, bioprecursor molecules, and combinations thereof. A dose of the composition for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases may be from about 0.01 mg/kg of body weight to about 50 mg/kg of body weight of the patient in need of treatment. A dose of the composition for treatment of metabolic diseases may be from about 1 mg/70 kg of body weight to about 100 mg/70 kg of body weight of the patient in need of treatment, and a maximum dose per day is about 200 mg/70 kg of body weight of the patient in need of treatment.

DNP and DNP prodrug treatment of neuromuscular, neurodegenerative, autoimmune, developmental, traumatic brain injury, concussion, dry eye disease, hearing loss and/or metabolic diseases

Pharmaceutically effective compositions and methods for topically treating pain due to swelling or inflammation of fascia, tendons, or ligaments in a patient in need of treatment, thereof. The pharmaceutically effective composition consists essentially of: 68.6-29.4 parts by weight of a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient; 40.0-50.0 parts by weight DMSO; 1.0-5.0 parts by weight of an anesthetic, wherein the anesthetic is advantageously characterized as containing only lidocaine; and 1.2-3.2 parts by weight of an anti-inflammatory inparts by weight of the pharmaceutically effective composition.
